Hlavním cílem kampaně je přiblížit veřejnosti důvody proč je dobré a logické kupovat biopotraviny a podporovat tím ekologické zemědělství v ČR a rovněž ukázat kde si biopotraviny mohou koupit. V průběhu září se uskuteční řada regionálních akcí na podporu biopotravin a ekologického zemědělství, jako jsou biojarmarky, biodožínky, dny otevřených vrátek na biofarmách a exkurze do výroby. Veřejnost tak může navštívit české ekofarmy, ochutnat biopotraviny přímo ze dvora a seznámit se s principy ekologické produkce. V rámci kampaně se také vyhlašuje soutěž Česká biopotravina. Biopotraviny poznáte podle zelené biozebry státní značky, která zaručuje splnění požadavků legislativy ekologické produkce. Od 1. července 2010 platí pro všechny výrobce biopotravin v Evropské unii povinnost používat na biopotravinách jednotné označení logem Evropské unie pro ekologickou produkci. Nejstarší fosilní primáty tvoří zástupci skupiny Plesiadapiformes, ale jejich zařazení mezi primáty je sporné. Primáti se vyznačují zdokonaleným zrakem, rozvojem mozku a pohyblivými končetinami. Žijí na všech kontinentech kromě Antarktidy a jsou sociálními tvory s různými sociálními strukturami. Rozmnožování je charakteristické nízkým počtem mláďat a dlouhou graviditou. Primáti jsou také známí svými kognitivními schopnostmi a jsou důležitou součástí lidské kultury. Nicméně lidská populace má negativní vliv na ostatní druhy primátů, které jsou ohroženy vyhynutím.

Die ältesten wissenschaftlichen Texte über Primaten stammen aus der Antike, aber erst der schwedische Wissenschaftler Carl Linnaeus beschrieb Primaten in seinem Werk Systema naturae als eine eigene Ordnung. Die Studie der Primaten wird als Primatologie bezeichnet. Die ältesten fossilen Primaten wurden den Vertretern der Gruppe Plesiadapiformes zugeschrieben, die nach dem Aussterben am Ende der Kreidezeit auftraten. Ob es sich jedoch tatsächlich um die ersten Primaten handelt, ist umstritten. Die ältesten bekannten Gattungen echter Primaten, Altiatlasius und Altanius, stammen aus dem Oberen Paläozän und dem Unteren Eozän. Im frühen Eozän erschienen erfolgreiche Primatengruppen wie Adapoide und Omomyoide, die sich dann auf der Nordhalbkugel weit verbreiteten. Die Ordnung der Primaten zeichnet sich vor allem durch die Verbesserung des Sehvermögens und die Entwicklung des räumlichen Sehens, die Verschlechterung des Geruchssinns und die progressive Entwicklung des Gehirns aus. Im Verhältnis zur Körpermasse haben Primaten das größte Gehirn aller landlebenden Säugetiere. Die Augenhöhlen sind bei allen Arten mindestens seitlich durch einen postorbitalen Balken geschlossen. Der grundlegende Zahnmuster der Primaten besteht aus vier Schneidezähnen, zwei Eckzähnen, sechs Prämolaren und sechs Molaren, aber für einzelne Gruppen können Reduktionen einiger Zähne charakteristisch sein. Die Gliedmaßen sind gut beweglich, ein Schlüsselbein ist entwickelt. Gegensätzliche Daumen ermöglichen einen guten Griff und flache Nägel entwickeln sich an den Fingern. The next step is to explore your favorite secondhand store, whether it's a brick-and-mortar shop or online, and embark on an adventurous search for well-preserved pieces that will suit you. Secondhand items of very good quality can be purchased today in a number of online shops for both adults and children. Another option is vintage stores specializing in stylish clothing, usually for women, from quality brands. Finally, you can participate in various swap events where you can send your discarded clothing that can no longer be revived and exchange it for something else that will bring you joy. Mezinárodní den charity, který se slaví 5. září, je významným dnem na počest Matky Terezy, která se věnovala humanitární práci a byla prohlášena za blahoslavenou. Charity mají různé podoby, ale vždy mají za cíl pomoci lidem v nouzi. Lidé mohou pomáhat formou darů nebo dobrovolnické práce. Projekt EKOkalendář nabízí mapu charitních obchůdků, kam lze nosit nepotřebné věci, které mohou pomoci jiným. Mezinárodní den charity má připomenout lidem, že i malá pomoc může mít velký význam pro ty, kteří ji potřebují.

Zum Gedenken an eine sehr bedeutende humanitäre Mitarbeiterin starb Mutter Teresa an diesem Tag im Jahr 1997, die während ihres Lebens viele Auszeichnungen für humanitäre Hilfe erhielt und sogar seliggesprochen wurde. Wohltätigkeit hat viele Formen, aber immer das Ziel, anderen zu helfen. Es handelt sich um wohltätige Aktionen zur Unterstützung von alten Menschen, Kindern, sozial Schwachen oder Kranken. Wohltätigkeit erfolgt in Form von verschiedenen Geschenken, sei es Geld oder Sachleistungen oder zum Beispiel in Form von unbezahlter Arbeit. Der internationale Tag der Wohltätigkeit soll die Menschen dazu bringen, darüber nachzudenken, ob auch sie denjenigen helfen könnten, die es brauchen. Jede Hilfe für andere hat oft eine unschätzbare Wirkung.

Charity takes many forms and always aims to help others, whether it is through monetary or material donations or through volunteer work. International Charity Day is meant to make people reflect on how they can help those in need. Any kind of help to others can have an invaluable impact.

Přibližně 50 druhů bahňáků je ohroženo a jejich stanoviště se ztrácí rychle. Je tedy důležité zvýšit povědomí veřejnosti o ochraně těchto ptáků. Ničení stanovišť, klimatické problémy a nevědomost veřejnosti jsou hlavní faktory klesajících populací pobřežních ptáků. Proto byl vytvořen World Shorebirds Day, který má za cíl zvýšit povědomí o ochraně a výzkumu pobřežních ptáků a propojit lidi s těmito ptáky. Gesunde Populationen von Küstenvögeln hängen von gesunden Lebensräumen ab. Der World Shorebirds Day wurde mit folgenden Zielen ins Leben gerufen: das Bewusstsein für die Notwendigkeit des Schutzes von Küstenvögeln und ihren Lebensräumen während ihres Lebenszyklus zu erhöhen, das Bewusstsein der Öffentlichkeit für die Notwendigkeit fortlaufender Forschung, Überwachung und Schutz von Küstenvögeln zu erhöhen und Menschen mit Küstenvögeln durch Feuchtgebiete auf der ganzen Welt zu verbinden. Am World Shorebirds Day feiern wir in unserem Brünner Zoo den ersten Mittwoch im September, an dem Sie das Glück hatten, Watvögel in unserer Natur zu beobachten. There is an urgent need to raise awareness about the situation of these endangered birds and the need for their protection and research. Healthy shorebird populations depend on healthy habitats, but habitat destruction, killing of migratory shorebirds, global climate issues, public ignorance, and many other factors are causing declining trends in most shorebird populations. There is a pressing need for global action that will help connect people and shorebirds. The World Shorebirds Day was created with the goals of raising awareness about the need to protect shorebirds and their habitats throughout their life cycle, increasing public awareness about the need for ongoing research, monitoring, and protection of shorebirds, and connecting people with shorebirds through wetlands around the world. In Brno Zoo, we will celebrate World Shorebirds Day on the first Wednesday of September, where you can have the opportunity to observe shorebirds in their natural habitat. World Shorebirds Day bol vytvorený s cieľom zvýšiť povedomie o ochrane pobreznych vtákov a ich stanovísk, a propojit ludi s týmito vtákmi. Mezinárodní den povědomí o supech je akce, která se koná první sobotu v září a má za cíl zvýšit povědomí o supích ptácích. Tato akce začala v roce 2009 a od té doby se rozšířila po celém světě. Během tohoto dne se konají různé akce v zoologických zahradách a organizacích pro divokou zvěř, kde se veřejnost může dozvědět více o supech a někdy se dokonce přiblížit k těmto ptákům. Mezinárodní den povědomí o supech má za cíl vzdělávat a změnit postoje veřejnosti k supům, kteří mají důležitou roli v životním prostředí. K oslavě tohoto dne se můžete zúčastnit akce International Vulture Awareness Day, podívat se na dokument o supech, uspořádat večírek na téma Vulture, přispět na pomoc supům nebo se poučit o výhodách supů a předat tyto informace dětem.

Um dies zu ändern, haben verschiedene Naturschutzgruppen den ersten Samstag im September zum Internationalen Geier-Awareness-Tag erklärt. Der Tag zielt darauf ab, das Bewusstsein für Geier zu erhöhen und die negativen Stereotypen zu bekämpfen. Zoos und Naturschutzorganisationen auf der ganzen Welt veranstalten Veranstaltungen, bei denen die Öffentlichkeit mehr über Geier erfahren und sie manchmal sogar aus der Nähe sehen kann. Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten, den Internationalen Geier-Awareness-Tag zu feiern, wie die Teilnahme an Veranstaltungen, das Anschauen von Dokumentationen über Geier, die Organisation einer Geier-Themenparty oder das Spenden für Geierschutzorganisationen. Due to their scavenging nature, many people misunderstand the beautiful and important birds known as vultures, many species of which are endangered or threatened. International Vulture Awareness Day, which aims to raise awareness about all vulture species, began in 2009 through a collaboration between the Birds of Prey program in South Africa and the Hawk Conservatory Trust in the United Kingdom. Zoos and wildlife organizations around the world organize events where the public can learn more about vultures and sometimes even get close to them. The first Saturday in September is designated as a day to consider the ecological significance of this predator, which is usually misunderstood and often vilified. As some species are seriously threatened with extinction, International Vulture Awareness Day aims to educate and change public perceptions about the critical role these birds play in the environment. There are various ways to celebrate International Vulture Awareness Day, such as attending vulture events at local zoos or nature parks, watching documentaries about vultures, organizing a vulture-themed party, donating to vulture conservation organizations, and learning about the benefits vultures provide to the environment.

Projekt měření kvality ovzduší v Praze je dalším příkladem snahy o zlepšení situace. DPD je také zapojeno do dobrovolnické akce Ukliďme Česko a je patronem projektu EKOkalendář, který se zaměřuje na ochranu životního prostředí. Das Ziel dieses internationalen Tages ist vor allem, das Bewusstsein für den Austausch von Wissen zu erhöhen sowie effektive Lösungen durch die Vernetzung verschiedener Akteure auf nationaler, internationaler und globaler Ebene zu suchen und zu fördern. Es geht darum, das Bewusstsein für die Bedeutung sauberer Luft für Gesundheit, Produktivität, Wirtschaft und Umwelt zu erhöhen, den engen Zusammenhang zwischen Luftqualität und anderen Umwelt- und Entwicklungsproblemen wie dem Klimawandel aufzuzeigen, Lösungen zu fördern, die die Luftqualität verbessern, indem sie nutzbares Wissen, bewährte Verfahren, Innovationen und erfolgreiche Beispiele teilen, und verschiedene Akteure für gemeinsame nationale, regionale und internationale Ansätze zur effektiven Luftqualitätssteuerung zu verbinden.

Der diesjährige Schirmherr des Internationalen Tages für saubere Luft unter blauem Himmel ist das Unternehmen DPD, Teil des größten Paketversandsystems in Europa, Geopost. Der Grund, warum DPD Schirmherr geworden ist, ist seine langjährige und intensive Arbeit für eine bessere Umwelt, insbesondere durch kohlenstoffneutrale Transporte. Bis 2025 werden in Prag und Ostrava alle DPD-Fahrzeuge nur noch emissionsarm sein und durch Fahrrad- und Fußkurier ergänzt werden. Das Unternehmen ist auch der erste globale Transporteur mit wissenschaftlich bestätigten Emissionsreduktionszielen von der führenden unabhängigen wissenschaftlichen Plattform SBTi.

Wir sind sehr froh, dass wir Schirmherr dieses Tages geworden sind, denn die Verbesserung der Luftqualität ist eine unserer Hauptprioritäten. Der Projekt zur Verbesserung der Luftqualität ist das Monitoring-Projekt. Seit über 2 Jahren fahren täglich 90 DPD-Fahrzeuge mit speziellen Überwachungsgeräten durch Prag. Jeder Prager kann auf dieser Website überprüfen, wie es um die einzelnen Straßen steht. Die Geräte sind auch an mehreren Dutzend Gebäuden installiert. It also aims to show the close connection between air quality and other environmental and development challenges, such as climate change. The day supports solutions that improve air quality through the sharing of knowledge, best practices, innovations, and successful examples. It brings together various stakeholders for effective air quality management at national, regional, and international levels.

The company DPD, part of the largest parcel delivery network in Europe, Geopost, has become the patron of this year's International Day of Clean Air for blue skies. DPD has been recognized for its long-term and intensive work on environmental improvement, particularly through carbon-neutral transport. By 2025, all DPD vehicles in Prague and Ostrava will be low-emission, supplemented by cycling and walking couriers. DPD is also the first global carrier with scientifically confirmed emission reduction targets from the leading independent scientific platform SBTi.

DPD is pleased to be the patron of this day as improving air quality is one of its main priorities. The company has been working on making its transport as environmentally friendly as possible, not just in terms of media coverage. DPD also aims to educate the public and is part of its communication strategy to raise awareness about greenwashing and help people recognize it. DPD is open to collaboration with other companies and municipalities.

The project of measuring air quality is directly related to improving air quality. For over 2 years, 90 DPD delivery vans with special monitoring devices have been driving through Prague every day. Every Prague resident can check the air quality on different streets on a dedicated website. The devices are also installed on several dozen buildings. Apart from the International Day of Clean Air, the EKOkalendar by the organization "Clean Czechia" includes more than 230 other environmental days and holidays, along with detailed information about them. Taktiež sa snaží ukázať súvislosti medzi kvalitou ovzdušia a ďalšími environmentálnymi a rozvojovými výzvami, ako je zmena klímy. Podporuje riešenia, ktoré zlepšujú kvalitu ovzdušia a spája rôzne aktéry pre efektívne riadenie kvality ovzdušia. Patronom tohto dňa sa stala spoločnosť DPD, ktorá sa zaviazala k uhlíkovo neutrálnej preprave a redukcii emisií. Spoločnosť DPD tiež spolupracuje s projektom EKOkalendář, ktorý monitoruje kvalitu ovzdušia v Prahe. Evropský týden recyklace baterií v ČR je podporován společností ECOBAT, která se zabývá sběrem a recyklací všech typů odpadních baterií. ECOBAT také provádí osvětu a vzdělávání veřejnosti a dětí v oblasti odpovědného nakládání s bateriemi. Společnost zajišťuje osvětovou kampaň ECOCHEESE a prostřednictvím nového webu nabízí vzdělávací videa a kurzy. Recyklace baterií je prospěšná pro životní prostředí, protože umožňuje získat zpět cenné kovy a zamezit uvolňování škodlivých látek. Odevzdání baterií k recyklaci je snadné, protože je k dispozici více než 28 000 sběrných míst po celé ČR. Kromě Evropského týdne recyklace baterií existuje také EKOkalendář, který informuje o dalších dnech a svátcích týkajících se životního prostředí. ECOBAT je nezisková organizace, která má oprávnění od Ministerstva životního prostředí k provozování kolektivního systému pro zpětný odběr odpadních baterií v ČR.

Es gewährleistet auch den Prozess der Sortierung und anschließenden Recycling. Altbatterien können an über 28.000 Sammelstellen in der gesamten Tschechischen Republik abgegeben werden.

Im Jahr 2015 fand der erste Europäische Batterierecyclingtag statt, dessen Entstehung von der Firma ECOBAT initiiert wurde, die seit über 20 Jahren in der Tschechischen Republik die Sammlung, Sortierung und Verarbeitung aller Altbatterien gewährleistet. Im Rahmen ihrer Tätigkeit beteiligt sich ECOBAT auch aktiv an der Bildung von Kindern und der breiten Öffentlichkeit. Bei Bleistiftbatterien handelt es sich hauptsächlich um Eisen und Mangan, bei anderen Batterietypen auch um Kobalt, Nickel, Kupfer oder Silber. Durch ihre Wiederverwendung schützen wir die Natur vor unnötigem Abbau von mineralischen Rohstoffen. Gleichzeitig verhindern wir die Freisetzung schädlicher Substanzen aus Batterien, einschließlich Schwermetallen, die die Luft, den Boden und das Grund- und Oberflächenwasser

Kakao je důležitou surovinou na světovém trhu, ale příjmy drobných pěstitelů nestačí na živobytí. V západní Africe je rozšířená dětská práce. Zakoupením čokolády s označením Fairtrade programu pro kakao přispějete ke zlepšení podmínek pěstitelů a ochraně životního prostředí. Pěstování kakaa je hlavním zdrojem příjmů pro miliony pěstitelů, ale rodiny často žijí v chudobě. Kakaovníky jsou náchylné ke škůdcům a chorobám, což ovlivňuje produkci. Mladí lidé nevidí v pěstování kakaa budoucnost a odcházejí do měst. Nadnárodní koncerny mají vliv na obchod s kakaem a ceny často kolísají. V České republice je dostupná široká škála fairtradových čokoládových výrobků, které jsou stále populárnější. Většina pěstitelů kakaa nikdy neochutnala čokoládu, ale farmáři s fairtradovou certifikací vlastní čokoládovny. Čtvrtina fairtradových pěstitelů kakaa jsou ženy.

Der Kauf von Schokolade und anderen Kakaoprodukten mit dem FAIRTRADE-Siegel trägt wesentlich zur Verbesserung der Lebens- und Arbeitsbedingungen der Kakaobauern und ihrer Familien in den Ländern des globalen Südens bei und fördert den Umweltschutz. Der Anbau von Kakao ist die Haupteinnahmequelle für über 55 Millionen Bauern im globalen Süden und sichert den Lebensunterhalt von über 14 Millionen Menschen. In den Hauptanbaugebieten in Westafrika bauen 90% der Kleinbauern auf Plantagen von weniger als 5 Hektar Kakao an. Die häufigsten Probleme beim Kakaoanbau sind die niedrigen Einkommen der Familien, Kinderarbeit, alternde Kakao-Bäume, der Einfluss multinationaler Konzerne und die Preisschwankungen auf dem Weltmarkt.

Cocoa is one of the most important commodities on the global market, but small-scale cocoa farmers struggle to make a living. Child labor is prevalent in cocoa-producing regions, particularly in West Africa. By purchasing chocolate and other cocoa products with the FAIRTRADE label, consumers can significantly improve the living and working conditions of cocoa farmers in developing countries and support environmental protection. Cocoa cultivation is the main source of income for over 55 million farmers in the Global South, providing livelihoods for over 14 million people. However, these farmers face numerous challenges, including low incomes, child labor, aging cocoa trees, declining production, youth migration to urban slums, and the increasing influence of multinational corporations. Fairtrade chocolate is available in the Czech Republic, with a growing demand for Fairtrade cocoa. Most cocoa farmers have never tasted chocolate, but Fairtrade-certified farmers in Ghana own 44 chocolate factories, making Divine Chocolate one of the largest and most well-known British chocolate producers. A quarter of Fairtrade cocoa farmers are women.

Koalice Za snadné dárcovství vyhlašuje Měsíc dobročinné závěti, který probíhá od 13. září do 13. října 2023. Cílem je upozornit na možnost konání dobrých skutků prostřednictvím dobročinné závěti. Dárcům, kteří ve své závěti pamatují na dobročinnou organizaci, bude proplacen notářský poplatek za sepsání závěti. Češi jsou podle průzkumů štědrým národem a čím dál více se otevírají i méně obvyklým cestám podpory dobročinnosti, jako jsou právě závěti. Česká společnost ornitologická má již zkušenosti s dary ze závěti a vděčí za ně důležitou finanční rezervu, která byla klíčová během pandemie. Die Koalition "Für einfache Spenden" gibt anlässlich des Internationalen Testaments-Tages jedes Jahr den Monat des wohltätigen Testaments bekannt. In der Zeit vom 13. September bis 13. Oktober 2023 erstattet die Stiftung Via den Spendern, die in ihrem letzten Willen an eine wohltätige Organisation, die ihnen am Herzen liegt, den Notargebühren für die Erstellung des Testaments berücksichtigen, die Notargebühren. The Coalition for Easy Donation, with the financial support of the Via Foundation on the occasion of International Will Day, annually announces the Month of Charitable Wills. From September 13 to October 13, 2023, donors who remember the charitable organization close to their hearts in their last will and testament will have their notary fees reimbursed. The goal is to raise awareness that through charitable wills, good deeds can be done both during and after life. Money, real estate, securities, and any small gift counts.

Surveys repeatedly show that Czechs are a generous nation. For example, according to the latest World Giving Index for 2021, philanthropy in the Czech Republic ranked a very respectable 13th out of 119 countries surveyed. In 2021, we were even the fastest-growing annual donors. However, Czech giving is not only growing in one-time aid during crises, such as the tornado in 2021 or last year's phenomenal solidarity with Ukraine. Our latest survey shows that people in the Czech Republic are gradually becoming more open to less common ways of supporting charity, such as wills, says Jan Gregor from the Coalition for Easy Donation.

Lucie Hošková, Head of Public Relations at the Czech Society for Ornithology, adds that the Czech Society for Ornithology (CSO) already has experience with bequests. We gratefully remember Mrs. Eugenia Venzarová, a CSO member and a great bird lover. Mrs. Venzarová was a very cultured and well-traveled woman, but her greatest love was birds. Therefore, she bequeathed half of her savings to the CSO in her will. This generous act provided the CSO with an important financial reserve, which proved crucial during the COVID pandemic and the related economic crisis. Mrs. Venzarová was not the only one who remembered birds in her will through the CSO. We deeply appreciate other CSO supporters who we know also think of bird conservation in their wills, and we are very pleased that they see a deep meaning in the work of the CSO that they want to help fulfill with their legacy.

Cílem kampaně je zvýšit povědomí občanů o udržitelné mobilitě a hledat řešení šetrná ke klimatu a životnímu prostředí. Do ETM se zapojují obce, občané, iniciativy a neziskové organizace, které pořádají různé aktivity na podporu veřejné dopravy, chůze, cyklistiky a dalších forem udržitelné mobility. Pandě červené je podobný způsob života jako pandě velké, ale mají odlišnou populační historii. Pandě červené je o něco větší než kočka domácí, má rudohnědou srst a dlouhý ocas, který ji pomáhá udržovat rovnováhu na stromech. Ve volné přírodě se panda červená průměrně dožívá 8-10 let. Obývá horské lesy jižní Číny, Nepálu, Bhútánu, Indie a Myanmaru. Její potravu tvoří převážně bambus, ale občas si zpestří jídelníček bobulemi, vejci nebo menšími zvířaty. Panda červená je samotářské zvíře, aktivní hlavně za úsvitu a soumraku. Po březosti trvající 3-4 měsíce samice rodí obvykle 1-2 mláďata, o která se stará zhruba rok. IUCN ji zařazuje mezi ohrožené druhy, v přírodě žije asi jen 16 000-20 000 jedinců. The female gives birth to about 1-2 cubs after a gestation period of 3-4 months and takes care of them for about a year. The red panda is classified as an endangered species due to habitat loss and fragmentation, as well as occasional hunting for fur. They are popularly kept in zoos for their appearance and lower maintenance compared to giant pandas. In Europe, they are bred in approximately 170 zoos, including several zoos in the Czech Republic.

Ľudia po celom svete sa zapájajú rôznymi spôsobmi – napríklad jazdou na bicykli, chôdzou, obmedzením používania elektrických spotrebičov, vynechaním varenia alebo dôsledným triedením odpadu. Každý malý krok má význam a prispieva k zlepšeniu stavu životného prostredia.

Evropský týden mobility (ETM) je celotýdenní kampaň, která se koná každoročně od 16. do 22. září. Cílem kampaně je podpora udržitelné dopravy a města a obce se mohou do kampaně zapojit realizací různých aktivit. V České republice se kampaně účastní převážná část měst a obcí, které jsou členy Národní sítě zdravých měst. Zapojení do kampaně vyžaduje schválení Charty, která stanovuje pravidla a rámec akce. Koordinaci kampaní v ČR zajišťuje Ministerstvo životního prostředí. Kromě ETM se v Česku také konají další akce na podporu udržitelné a aktivní mobility, například Pěšky do školy, Do práce na kole nebo Výzva 10 000 kroků. V roce 2022 se kampaně zúčastnilo téměř 3000 obcí v 51 zemích, v ČR se oficiálně zapojilo 26 obcí.

Die nationale Koordination beider Kampagnen in der Tschechischen Republik wird vom Ministerium für Umwelt übernommen. Im Jahr 2022 nahmen fast 3000 Gemeinden in 51 Ländern, darunter 26 Gemeinden in der Tschechischen Republik, an den Kampagnen teil. In addition to EMW, various organizations in the Czech Republic organize events to promote sustainable and active mobility, such as "Walking to School," "Cycle to Work," "10,000 Steps Challenge," and "Experience the City Differently." In 2022, nearly 3,000 municipalities from 51 countries participated in the campaign, including 26 municipalities in the Czech Republic.

V roce 2002 byl Evropský den bez aut rozšířen na celotýdenní kampaň s názvem Evropský týden mobility (ETM). Společně pracovali na tom, aby se tento den stal mezinárodním úspěchem. Světový den nosorožců se od té doby stal celosvětovým fenoménem, který spojuje různé organizace a jednotlivce z různých zemí. Nosorožci jsou ohroženým druhem a jsou ilegálně loveni pro své rohy, které jsou využívány v tradiční medicíně a pro výrobu nožů. It all started with an email. In mid-2011, Lisa Jane Campbell from Chishakwe Ranch in Zimbabwe was planning World Rhino Day. She found Rhishj's blog while searching for ideas and potential collaborators online. Lisa Jane sent Rhishj an email, and they both realized they shared the goal of making World Rhino Day a day of celebration for all five rhino species. In the following months, they worked together to make World Rhino Day 2011 an international success both online and offline. Since then, World Rhino Day has become a global phenomenon, bringing together NGOs, zoos, related organizations, businesses, and individuals from almost all corners of the world.

Rhinoceroses are one of the living families of the order Perissodactyla. Currently, we know 56 living species in four genera. All rhino species are endangered.

Rhinos are illegally hunted for their horns in many countries. Crushed horn, or rhino horn powder, is used in some traditional medicines and aphrodisiacs, such as in traditional Chinese medicine. However, China has officially committed to nature conservation according to CITES. In other countries, rhino horns are carved into handles for traditional knives and daggers. While the necessity of hunting rhinos is universally rejected as outdated and barbaric, popular practices still pose a threat to them.

Evropský parlament, Rada Evropské unie a Evropská komise vyhlásily 23. září Evropským dnem ekologického zemědělství, který má za cíl zvýšit informovanost o ekologické produkci v Evropské unii. Komise rovněž uděluje ceny za ekologický přístup ve všech fázích potravinového řetězce. Ekologické zemědělství přináší výhody pro klima a biodiverzitu, například snižuje emise skleníkových plynů a zvyšuje sekvestraci uhlíku v půdě. Tento systém také spotřebovává méně energie a minimalizuje ztráty dusíku. Ekologické hospodaření také zlepšuje kvalitu půdy a zvyšuje její úrodnost.

Der Europäische Tag der ökologischen Landwirtschaft wurde von drei wichtigen EU-Institutionen, dem Europäischen Parlament, dem Rat der Europäischen Union und der Europäischen Kommission, ausgerufen. Ziel ist es, das Bewusstsein für ökologische Produktion in der Europäischen Union zu erhöhen. Die Europäische Kommission vergibt auch jährlich Preise für ökologische Ansätze als Anerkennung für Exzellenz in allen Phasen der ökologischen Lebensmittelkette. Im Rahmen der Feierlichkeiten werden auch in diesem Jahr die besten und innovativsten Akteure mit den Europäischen Preisen für ökologische Landwirtschaft ausgezeichnet. Die Preisverleihung findet am 25. September 2023 statt. Die Europäische Kommission wird auch die Entwicklung von Netzwerken für nachhaltigen Ökotourismus durch Bioregionen unterstützen. Bioregionen sind Gebiete, in denen Landwirte, Bürger, Tourismusbetreiber, Verbände und öffentliche Organe zusammenarbeiten, um lokale Ressourcen auf der Grundlage ökologischer Prinzipien und Verfahren nachhaltig zu bewirtschaften. The European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, and the European Commission have declared September 23 as the European Day of Organic Farming to raise awareness about organic production in the European Union. The Commission also annually awards prizes for organic approaches as recognition of excellence in all stages of the organic food chain. The awards ceremony will take place on September 25, 2023. The European Commission will also support the development of organic tourism networks through bioregions, where farmers, citizens, tourism operators, associations, and public authorities will collaborate on sustainable management of local resources based on ecological principles and practices. The President of IFOAM Organics Europe, Jan Plagge, stated that the European Day of Organic Farming will be an ideal opportunity to assess Europe's progress in achieving the goal of 25% organically managed land by 2030, shaping consumer demand trends, raising awareness about organic farming throughout the supply chain, and implementing activities of the European Action Plan for Organic Farming.

Súčasne sa znižuje aj percento ľudí, ktorí sa na tento smer pozerajú skrz prsty. A to je dobre. Aj tí, ktorí si občas radi pochutnajú na mäse, to môžu povedať. Pravdou je, že dnes jeme mäso často až príliš a to nie je dobré ani pre náš organizmus, ani pre životné prostredie.

Světový den zvířat, který se slaví 4. října, byl vybrán na počest Svatého Františka z Assisi, který se staral o opuštěná a nemocná zvířata a považoval je za své sestry a bratry. Toto datum má v České republice zavedenou tradici a oslavy se konají v různých městech. Zoologické zahrady se také podílejí na rozšiřování této tradice a pořádají oslavy s bohatým programem pro návštěvníky i zvířata. Nadace na ochranu zvířat pak každoročně pořádá oslavy spojené s charitativní sbírkou pro opuštěné psy a kočky.

Its celebrations take place in various cities throughout the country. Zoos play a significant role in spreading this tradition, where lively celebrations with rich accompanying programs are held every year for both human visitors and animals. Animals from shelters also celebrate their day. The Animal Protection Foundation organizes annual celebrations of World Animal Day, combined with a charitable collection of breeding supplies for abandoned dogs and cats, and the acquired breeding aids are handed over to shelters.

Svetový deň zvierat má v Českej republike svoju zavedenú tradíciu a dostáva sa do povedomia stále väčšiemu počtu obyvateľov. Jeho oslavy sa konajú v rôznych mestách po celej Českej republike. Zoologicke záhrady sa veľmi podieľajú na rozširovaní tejto tradície a každoročne organizujú bohatý program pre návštevníkov. Aj útulky pre zvieratá oslavujú tento deň a súčasne organizujú charitatívne zbierky pre opustené psy a mačky.

Česká společnost ornitologická pořádá každých pár let Světový festival ptactva WorldBirdwatch, který se koná i v neevropských zemích. Festival se koná od roku 1993 a během něj ornitologové zaznamenávají počty pozorovaných druhů a jedinců ptáků. Tyto údaje jsou následně zpracovány a předány evropskému koordinátorovi, který je zveřejní. V roce 2023 se koná další ročník festivalu, na který jsou lidé v České republice i v dalších zemích v Evropě srdečně zváni. Během víkendu se budou pořádat vycházky za pozorováním ptáků, během kterých se budou zaznamenávat data o počtu pozorovaných druhů a jedinců. Tyto údaje budou opět zpracovány a zveřejněny. In dieser Ausgabe sind 46 Exkursionen gemeldet, die von Freiwilligen im ganzen Land organisiert wurden. Die meisten von ihnen finden direkt an dem oben genannten Wochenende statt.

The Czech Society for Ornithology is organizing the WorldBirdwatch festival, which takes place every few years and involves non-European countries as well. During the festival, ornithologists record the number of observed bird species and individuals, with a focus on rare species. The data is processed and sent to the European coordinator, who then shares the results with the media. The invitation to the 2023 Bird Festival encourages people in the Czech Republic and other countries in Europe to participate in bird watching and contribute to the data collection. The results of this year's festival will be available on the Czech Society for Ornithology's website. Svetový festival vtáctva WorldBirdwatch sa koná raz za niekoľko rokov a tento rok sa uskutoční 7. - 8. októbra 2023. Česká ornitológia sa k festivalu pravidelne pridáva od roku 1993. Počas výletov ornitológovia zaznamenávajú počet pozorovaných druhov a jedincov vtákov, najmä vzácne druhy a ďalšie zaujímavosti. Tieto údaje organizátori spracujú a pošlú koordinátorovi pre Európu, ktorý ich nasledujúci deň poskytne médiám. It is not difficult to understand why World Architecture Day is important. Architects play a huge role in society, combining science and art with politics, economics, sociology, psychology, ecology, and more. We should appreciate their work and celebrate all the amazing things they have done and encourage them for what they will do in the future.

The challenges facing architects today are not small. Construction accounts for 37% of carbon dioxide emissions, consumes 50% of natural resources, and generates 40% of solid waste. Architekti hrají významnou roli ve společnosti a jejich práce kombinuje vědu, umění a další obory. Je důležité ocenit a podpořit jejich úsilí. Stavebnictví je zodpovědné za velkou část emisí oxidu uhličitého a spotřeby přírodních zdrojů. Udržitelná výstavba je klíčová pro budoucnost a architekti mají v tomto směru velký vliv. Iniciativa Světového dne bavlny vznikla v roce 2019, kdy čtyři producenti bavlny v subsaharské Africe navrhli oslavu tohoto dne. Bavlna je jednou z nejběžnějších látek v našich skříních a je pohodlná, hypoalergenní, prodyšná a odolná. Tato přírodní tkanina má však mnohem větší význam, než si možná uvědomujeme. Podporuje miliony pěstitelů a rodin po celém světě, zejména v nejméně rozvinutých a rozvojových zemích. Bavlna je hlavním zdrojem obživy a příjmů mnoha venkovských drobných zemědělců a dělníků, včetně žen, a poskytuje zaměstnání a příjem i v nejchudších venkovských oblastech.

Die Initiative zum Welttag der Baumwolle entstand im Jahr 2019, als vier Baumwollproduzenten in Subsahara-Afrika - Benin, Burkina Faso, Tschad und Mali, bekannt als die Baumwoll-Vier - der Welthandelsorganisation vorschlugen, den Welttag der Baumwolle am 7. Oktober zu feiern.

The World Cotton Day initiative was born in 2019 when four cotton producers in sub-Saharan Africa - Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, and Mali, known as the Cotton Four - proposed to the World Trade Organization to celebrate World Cotton Day on October 7th. Cotton is one of the most common fabrics in our wardrobes. It is a comfortable, hypoallergenic, breathable, and durable material. However, cotton represents much more than just a commodity. This natural fabric is a product that changes lives around the world, supporting 2.867 billion growers and benefiting over 100 million families in 75 countries on 5 continents. This means that behind every cotton garment, there is a personal story. While cotton is indeed important for developed economies, it serves as a lifeline for the least developed and developing countries. Cotton is the main source of livelihood and income for many rural small-scale farmers and workers, including women, providing employment and income to some of the poorest rural areas in the world. Iniciatíva Svetového dňa bavlny vznikla v roku 2019, keď štyria producenti bavlny v subsaharskej Afrike - Benin, Burkina Faso, Čad a Mali, známi ako Bavlnená štvorka, navrhli Svetovú obchodnú organizáciu oslavu Svetového dňa bavlny 7. októbra. Chobotnice jsou jedním z nejstarších přeživších tvorů na Zemi a jsou vysoce inteligentní. Jsou schopny se učit, řešit problémy a dokonce otevírat sklenice. Jsou také vizuálně úžasné, s různými barvami, velikostmi a tvary. Existuje několik způsobů, jak oslavit Světový den chobotnic, jako je pomoci zastavit velkochov chobotnic, číst o jejich životě nebo sdílet zábavná fakta o nich. Například obří tichomořská chobotnice je největším druhem a může dosáhnout hmotnosti více než 300 kg. Chobotnice mají také zajímavý oběhový systém s třemi srdci a modrou krví.

Tintenfische verdienen Anerkennung aus vielen Gründen. Erstens sind sie eine der ältesten überlebenden Arten auf der Erde. Obwohl sie eine relativ kurze Lebensdauer haben, werden Tintenfisch-Fossilien gefunden, die über 300 Millionen Jahre alt sind, was bedeutet, dass sie älter sind als Dinosaurier. Ein möglicher Grund, warum diese einzigartigen Kreaturen so lange unter dem Meer überlebt haben, ist ihre hohe Intelligenz. Mit etwa 500 Millionen Neuronen in ihrem Gehirn und ihren Tentakeln sind sie in der Lage zu lernen und Probleme auf eine Weise zu lösen, die viele andere Meereslebewesen nicht können. Mit ihren acht Armen und ihrem großen Gehirn können sie Rätsel lösen, sich tarnen und sogar Gläser öffnen. Einige von ihnen haben sogar gezeigt, dass sie kreativ sind, indem sie weggeworfene Kokosnussschalen verwenden und daraus mobile Häuser machen. Genial!

The minimum collection rate in EU member states is set at 65 percent of the average weight of appliances placed on the market in the previous three years or alternatively 85 percent of the manufactured appliances. This means collecting approximately 10 million tons, or about 20 kg per person. The International E-Waste Day can significantly contribute to raising awareness and improving the collection rate not only in the Czech Republic and Europe but globally.

Dobrodružství je nekončící dobrodružství života, které nás vybízí k tomu, abychom žili s vytřeštěnýma očima a nezadržovali dech ze strachu. Lenochod je samotářský tvor, který žije na malém území a preferuje stromy s mnoha liánami a slunečním osvětlením. Na jednom stromě obvykle žije jen jedno zvíře, a to samice se svým mládětem. Občas je možné vidět samce, kteří se perou. Lenochodi mají odlišný počet krčních obratlů a jsou schopni přežít zranění, která by zabila jiné zvíře stejné velikosti. Jejich srst je domovem pro další druhy živočichů, jako je samice mola Cryptoses choloepi a pták čimango žlutavý. Lenochodi jsou ohroženým druhem kvůli ztrátě přirozeného prostředí a nebezpečím, jako jsou dráty vysokého napětí a pytláci. Lenochodi patří do skupiny Xenarthra, která se objevila v Jižní Americe před 60 miliony let.

Der Faultier ist ein Einzelgänger, der ein langsames Leben führt und daher nur ein kleines Gebiet von etwa 0,05 km2 bewohnt. Es bevorzugt Bäume mit vielen Lianen und Ästen, die von direktem Sonnenlicht beleuchtet werden. Auf einem Baum findet man normalerweise nur ein Tier, zusammen leben nur das Weibchen und ihr Junges. Manchmal kann man auch Männchen sehen, die sich bekämpfen und sich mit ihren Krallen angreifen.

Interessantes aus dem Leben der Faultiere:

    Als eine der wenigen Säugetierarten hat das Faultier eine andere Anzahl von Halswirbeln als die üblichen sieben. Bei der Gattung Bradypus sind es neun und bei der Gattung Choloepus sechs Halswirbel. Außerdem hat das Faultier keinen Blinddarm oder Gallenblase. Bis zu zwei Drittel des Gewichts des Faultiers können in seinem Verdauungstrakt aus Nahrung bestehen.
    Das Faultier ist in der Lage, Verletzungen zu überleben, die ein anderes Tier derselben Größe töten würden.
    Der englische Name des Faultiers, Hoffmanns zweifingeriges Faultier, stammt von dem deutschen Naturforscher Karl Hoffmann (1823-1859). Der englische Name "sloth" bedeutet faul.

Neben Algen ist das Fell des Faultiers auch Heimat für andere Tierarten, wie zum Beispiel das Weibchen der MolaCryptoses choloepi, das in seinem Fell lebt und Eier in seinen Kot legt. Es wurde auch ein gelber Vogel namens "čimango" beobachtet, der im Fell des Faultiers nach kleinen wirbellosen Tieren sucht.
Das Braunhals-Faultier und das Kurzhals-Faultier gelten als gefährdete Arten. Sie sind vor allem durch den Verlust ihres natürlichen Lebensraums bedroht. Die meisten Todesfälle von Faultieren in Costa Rica werden durch Begegnungen mit Hochspannungsleitungen oder Wilderern verursacht.
Faultiere gehören zusammen mit Ameisenbären und Gürteltieren zur Gruppe der Xenarthra, die vor 60 Millionen Jahren in Südamerika entstanden ist. The sloth is a solitary creature that lives a slow life and occupies only a small territory of about 0.05 km2. It prefers trees with many lianas and branches illuminated by direct sunlight. Usually, only one animal is found on one tree, and only the female lives with her offspring. Occasionally, males can be seen fighting and attacking each other with their claws.

Interesting facts about sloths:

- Unlike most mammals, sloths have a different number of neck vertebrae. The Bradypus genus has nine, while the Choloepus genus has six neck vertebrae. Additionally, sloths do not have a blind gut or a gallbladder. Up to two-thirds of a sloth's weight can be food in its digestive tract.

- Sloths are capable of surviving injuries that would kill other animals of the same size.

- The English name for the Hoffmann's two-toed sloth is named after the German naturalist Karl Hoffmann (1823-1859). The English word "sloth" means lazy.
