Den otevřených dřevostaveb pořádá Asociace dodavatelů montovaných domů, jejímž členem je i RD Rýmařov, výrobní podnik ze skupiny Progresus. Na akci si návštěvníci mohou prohlédnout dokončené i rozestavěné dřevostavby a poznat trendy v oblasti obnovitelného developmentu. RD Rýmařov se rozšiřuje i na západní trhy a má otevřené dveře pro další expanzi. Dřevostavby, označované jako ekologické domy, jsou postaveny převážně z dřeva, které je obnovitelným materiálem šetrným k přírodě. Existují různé typy dřevostaveb, jako jsou sruby, roubenky a sendvičové stavby. Sruby jsou stavěny z celých kmenů a využívají se různé metody spojování. Bei der Veranstaltung können Besucher fertiggestellte und im Bau befindliche Holzgebäude besichtigen und sich über Trends im Bereich der erneuerbaren Entwicklung informieren. RD Rýmařov expandiert auch in westliche Märkte und hat eine offene Tür für eine weitere Expansion. Holzgebäude, sogenannte Ökohäuser, werden hauptsächlich aus Holz gebaut, einem erneuerbaren, umweltfreundlichen Material. Světový den zvířat, který se slaví 4. října, byl vybrán na počest Svatého Františka z Assisi, který se staral o opuštěná a nemocná zvířata a považoval je za své sestry a bratry. Toto datum má v České republice zavedenou tradici a oslavy se konají v různých městech. Zoologické zahrady se také podílejí na rozšiřování této tradice a pořádají oslavy s bohatým programem pro návštěvníky i zvířata. Nadace na ochranu zvířat pak každoročně pořádá oslavy spojené s charitativní sbírkou pro opuštěné psy a kočky.

Warum gerade der 4. Oktober? Dieses Datum wurde zu Ehren des Heiligen Franziskus von Assisi gewählt. Franziskus, der Gründer des Franziskanerordens, predigte ein bescheidenes Leben in Armut und kümmerte sich um verlassene und kranke Tiere. Historischen Quellen zufolge sprach er mit den Tieren und betrachtete sie nicht als niedrigere Wesen, sondern als seine Schwestern und Brüder, als Kinder eines Vaters. Diese Einstellung zu Tieren war im Christentum nicht typisch. Franziskus von Assisi hat zudem ökologische Anforderungen vorweggenommen, einschließlich der Ausweitung der menschlichen Ethik auf alles Lebendige. Deshalb wurde er zum Schutzpatron der Ökologie. Franziskus starb am 4. Oktober 1226, und aus diesem Grund wurde dieses Datum später als Welttierschutztag ausgewählt.

Der Welttierschutztag hat in der Tschechischen Republik eine etablierte Tradition und wird einer immer größeren Anzahl von Menschen bekannt. Die Feierlichkeiten finden in verschiedenen Städten im ganzen Land statt. Zoos tragen maßgeblich zur Verbreitung dieser Tradition bei, wo jedes Jahr ausgelassene Feierlichkeiten mit einem reichen Begleitprogramm für menschliche und natürlich auch tierische Besucher stattfinden. Auch Tiere aus Tierheimen feiern ihren Tag. Die Tierschutzstiftung organisiert jedes Jahr Feierlichkeiten zum Welttierschutztag, verbunden mit einer Wohltätigkeitssammlung von Züchterbedarf für verlassene Hunde und Katzen. Die gesammelten Züchterbedarfsgegenstände werden den Tierheimen von der Tierschutzstiftung übergeben.

According to historical sources, he spoke to animals and considered them not as lower beings than humans, but as his brothers and sisters, children of the same father. Such an approach to animals was not typical in Christianity. Francis of Assisi also anticipated the demands of ecological character, including the extension of human ethics to all living beings, which is why he became the patron of ecology. Francis died on October 4th, 1226, and for this reason, this date was later suitable for the declaration of World Animal Day.

World Animal Day has a well-established tradition in the Czech Republic and is becoming more and more known to a growing number of people. Its celebrations take place in various cities throughout the country. Zoos play a significant role in spreading this tradition, where lively celebrations with rich accompanying programs are held every year for both human visitors and animals. Animals from shelters also celebrate their day. The Animal Protection Foundation organizes annual celebrations of World Animal Day, combined with a charitable collection of breeding supplies for abandoned dogs and cats, and the acquired breeding aids are handed over to shelters.

Svetový deň zvierat má v Českej republike svoju zavedenú tradíciu a dostáva sa do povedomia stále väčšiemu počtu obyvateľov. Jeho oslavy sa konajú v rôznych mestách po celej Českej republike. Zoologicke záhrady sa veľmi podieľajú na rozširovaní tejto tradície a každoročne organizujú bohatý program pre návštevníkov. Aj útulky pre zvieratá oslavujú tento deň a súčasne organizujú charitatívne zbierky pre opustené psy a mačky.

Česká společnost ornitologická pořádá každých pár let Světový festival ptactva WorldBirdwatch, který se koná i v neevropských zemích. Festival se koná od roku 1993 a během něj ornitologové zaznamenávají počty pozorovaných druhů a jedinců ptáků. Tyto údaje jsou následně zpracovány a předány evropskému koordinátorovi, který je zveřejní. V roce 2023 se koná další ročník festivalu, na který jsou lidé v České republice i v dalších zemích v Evropě srdečně zváni. Během víkendu se budou pořádat vycházky za pozorováním ptáků, během kterých se budou zaznamenávat data o počtu pozorovaných druhů a jedinců. Tyto údaje budou opět zpracovány a zveřejněny. An diesem Wochenende begeben sich Menschen nicht nur in der Tschechischen Republik, sondern auch in anderen Ländern in ganz Europa auf Vogelbeobachtung, um Zeugen der faszinierenden Vogelmigration zu werden. Während der Exkursionen werden Daten über die Gesamtzahl der beobachteten Vogelarten und Individuen, häufig beobachtete Arten, seltene Arten usw. erfasst. Die einzelnen Länder werden die Daten am Ende des Wochenendes auswerten und an den europäischen Koordinator, den slowakischen Partner BirdLife International SOSBirdLife Slovakia, senden. The World Cotton Day initiative was born in 2019 when four cotton producers in sub-Saharan Africa - Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, and Mali, known as the Cotton Four - proposed to the World Trade Organization to celebrate World Cotton Day on October 7th. Cotton is one of the most common fabrics in our wardrobes. It is a comfortable, hypoallergenic, breathable, and durable material. However, cotton represents much more than just a commodity. This natural fabric is a product that changes lives around the world, supporting 2.867 billion growers and benefiting over 100 million families in 75 countries on 5 continents. This means that behind every cotton garment, there is a personal story. While cotton is indeed important for developed economies, it serves as a lifeline for the least developed and developing countries. In the Czech Republic, an event will be held on October 25th at the Old Wastewater Treatment Plant in Prague, where the recently launched biogas project at the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant will be presented. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the project and enjoy food from local farmers operating biogas stations.

Hlavným programom akcie bude prezentácia práve spusteného biometylánu na Ústrednej čistiarni odpadných vôd v Prahe s vtláčaním biometylánu do siete zemného plynu.

V roce 2019 vzniklo na planetě 53,6 milionů tun elektroodpadu, což je nejvíce v historii. Do roku 2030 se očekává nárůst na 75 milionů tun. Elektroodpad obsahuje cenné suroviny v hodnotě 508 miliard EUR, ale méně než 18 % bylo oficiálně zdokumentováno. Zbytek končí na skládkách nebo je zpracován nestandardně, což má negativní dopad na životní prostředí a zdraví. Recyklací elektroodpadu lze snížit produkci skleníkových plynů o 15 milionů tun. Aplikace Kam s ním poskytuje seznam sběrných míst pro různé druhy odpadu, aby se minimalizovala zátěž pro životní prostředí. V EU je stanovena minimální míra sběru elektroodpadu na 65 % průměrné hmotnosti spotřebičů uváděných na trh za tři předchozí roky. Mezinárodní den elektroodpadu může přispět ke zlepšení míry sběru elektroodpadu.

The app "Kam s ním" provides a list of collection points for various types of waste, helping to minimize environmental impact. The minimum collection rate in EU member states is set at 65 percent of the average weight of appliances placed on the market in the previous three years or alternatively 85 percent of the manufactured appliances. This means collecting approximately 10 million tons, or about 20 kg per person. The International E-Waste Day can significantly contribute to raising awareness and improving the collection rate not only in the Czech Republic and Europe but globally.

18. října 2023 se bude konat slavnostní poděkování úklidovým pracovníkům v České republice i ve 50 dalších zemích. Akci podporují organizace IFMA International Facility Management Association a CAC Česká asociace úklidu a čištění. Dobrodružství je nekončící dobrodružství života, které nás vybízí k tomu, abychom žili s vytřeštěnýma očima a nezadržovali dech ze strachu. Historie slova dobrodružství sahá až do latiny a francouzštiny a odkazuje na to, že život je určen k prožívání a objevování. Lenochod je samotářský tvor, který žije na malém území a preferuje stromy s mnoha liánami a slunečním osvětlením. Na jednom stromě obvykle žije jen jedno zvíře, a to samice se svým mládětem. Občas je možné vidět samce, kteří se perou. Lenochodi mají odlišný počet krčních obratlů a jsou schopni přežít zranění, která by zabila jiné zvíře stejné velikosti. Jejich srst je domovem pro další druhy živočichů, jako je samice mola Cryptoses choloepi a pták čimango žlutavý. Lenochodi jsou ohroženým druhem kvůli ztrátě přirozeného prostředí a nebezpečím, jako jsou dráty vysokého napětí a pytláci. Lenochodi patří do skupiny Xenarthra, která se objevila v Jižní Americe před 60 miliony let.

Der Faultier ist ein Einzelgänger, der ein langsames Leben führt und daher nur ein kleines Gebiet von etwa 0,05 km2 bewohnt. Es bevorzugt Bäume mit vielen Lianen und Ästen, die von direktem Sonnenlicht beleuchtet werden. Auf einem Baum findet man normalerweise nur ein Tier, zusammen leben nur das Weibchen und ihr Junges. Manchmal kann man auch Männchen sehen, die sich bekämpfen und sich mit ihren Krallen angreifen.

Interessantes aus dem Leben der Faultiere:

    Als eine der wenigen Säugetierarten hat das Faultier eine andere Anzahl von Halswirbeln als die üblichen sieben. Bei der Gattung Bradypus sind es neun und bei der Gattung Choloepus sechs Halswirbel. Außerdem hat das Faultier keinen Blinddarm oder Gallenblase. Bis zu zwei Drittel des Gewichts des Faultiers können in seinem Verdauungstrakt aus Nahrung bestehen.
    Das Faultier ist in der Lage, Verletzungen zu überleben, die ein anderes Tier derselben Größe töten würden.
    Der englische Name des Faultiers, Hoffmanns zweifingeriges Faultier, stammt von dem deutschen Naturforscher Karl Hoffmann (1823-1859). Der englische Name "sloth" bedeutet faul.

Neben Algen ist das Fell des Faultiers auch Heimat für andere Tierarten, wie zum Beispiel das Weibchen der MolaCryptoses choloepi, das in seinem Fell lebt und Eier in seinen Kot legt. Es wurde auch ein gelber Vogel namens "čimango" beobachtet, der im Fell des Faultiers nach kleinen wirbellosen Tieren sucht.
Das Braunhals-Faultier und das Kurzhals-Faultier gelten als gefährdete Arten. Sie sind vor allem durch den Verlust ihres natürlichen Lebensraums bedroht. Die meisten Todesfälle von Faultieren in Costa Rica werden durch Begegnungen mit Hochspannungsleitungen oder Wilderern verursacht.

The sloth is a solitary creature that lives a slow life and occupies only a small territory of about 0.05 km2. It prefers trees with many lianas and branches illuminated by direct sunlight. Usually, only one animal is found on one tree, and only the female lives with her offspring. Occasionally, males can be seen fighting and attacking each other with their claws.

Interesting facts about sloths:

- Unlike most mammals, sloths have a different number of neck vertebrae. The Bradypus genus has nine, while the Choloepus genus has six neck vertebrae. Additionally, sloths do not have a blind gut or a gallbladder. Up to two-thirds of a sloth's weight can be food in its digestive tract.

- Sloths are capable of surviving injuries that would kill other animals of the same size.

- The English name for the Hoffmann's two-toed sloth is named after the German naturalist Karl Hoffmann (1823-1859). The English word "sloth" means lazy.

Lenochodi jsou ohroženým druhem kvůli ztrátě přirozeného prostředí a setkání s dráty vysokého napětí nebo pytláky. Lenochodi patří do skupiny Xenarthra, která se objevila před 60 miliony let.

Mezinárodní den oprav je iniciativa, která se snaží upozornit na význam oprav a bojovat proti plýtvání. První akce se konala v roce 2017 a od té doby se zapojují lidé z celého světa prostřednictvím Repair Cafes a Restart Party. Mezinárodní den oprav také slouží k podpoře hnutí, která se snaží o právo na opravu a udržitelnější přístup k elektronice. Der Internationale Reparaturtag ist eine Initiative, die darauf abzielt, die Reparatur von Gegenständen zu fördern und die Verschwendung in der modernen Gesellschaft zu bekämpfen. Durch gemeinschaftliche Reparaturveranstaltungen und soziale Medien soll die Bedeutung von Reparaturen betont werden. Der Internationale Reparaturtag wurde erstmals im Jahr 2017 in Zusammenarbeit mit der Open Repair Alliance ins Leben gerufen. Seitdem haben sich Repair Cafés und Restart Parties weltweit verbreitet. Der Tag dient auch dazu, auf Bewegungen wie das Recht auf Reparatur aufmerksam zu machen. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten, den Internationalen Reparaturtag zu feiern und sich an der Gemeinschaft zu beteiligen, die sich für langlebige Produkte einsetzt. Deň opráv bol založený v roku 2017 a odvtedy sa zapájajú rôzne organizácie a podniky, ktoré sa snažia o udržateľný prístup k elektronickým produktom a ich opravám. Medzinárodné dni opráv sa tiež využívajú na podporu hnutí ako je Právo na opravu, ktoré sa zameriava na zabezpečenie informácií a zdrojov potrebných na opravu elektronických výrobkov. Den stromů má dlouhou historii, která sahá až do roku 1594, kdy se poprvé slavil ve španělské vesnici Mondonedo. Roku 1951 přijala FAO usnesení, ve kterém se doporučuje slavit světový svátek stromu. V České republice se Den stromů slaví od roku 1906, přičemž tradice byla obnovena až v roce 2000. Ochrana stromů je důležitá v boji proti klimatickým změnám, protože stromy pohlcují CO2. Výsadba nových stromů je důležitá, ale ještě důležitější je ochrana stromů a lesů, které již máme. Každý může přispět k ochraně stromů tím, že změní své spotřební návyky, nepodporuje produkty s palmovým olejem, šetří papírem, upřednostňuje dřevěné výrobky s označením FSC a používá aplikaci Forest, která pomáhá lesům.

Alte und heilige Haine wurden seit jeher verehrt und daher auch geschützt. Die Verehrung wurde von Generation zu Generation weitergegeben. Das erste dokumentierte Pflanzfest fand 1594 in dem spanischen Dorf Mondonedo statt. Der Ort namens Alameda de los Remedios ist immer noch mit Linden und Fliederbäumen bepflanzt. An diesem Ort befindet sich eine Bronzetafel, die an dieses Ereignis erinnert.

Im Jahr 1951 verabschiedete die Ernährungs- und Landwirtschaftsorganisation der Vereinten Nationen (FAO) folgende Resolution: Die Konferenz erkannte die Notwendigkeit an, dass alle Menschen den ästhetischen, psychologischen und wirtschaftlichen Wert des Waldes erkennen sollten. Daher wird empfohlen, dass in allen Mitgliedstaaten jährlich ein Welttag des Baumes gefeiert wird, zu einem geeigneten Zeitpunkt unter Berücksichtigung der lokalen Bedingungen.

Geschichte des Tag des Baumes in der Tschechischen Republik
Die Idee wurde in die Tschechische Republik vom Verband der Verschönerungsvereine gebracht und der Tag des Baumes wurde erstmals Anfang April 1906 massenhaft gefeiert. Die Tradition wurde durch den Krieg und das kommunistische Regime unterbrochen und erst im Jahr 2000 wiederbelebt. Und wie es scheint, endet die Geschichte des Tag des Baumes auch nach mehr als 150 Jahren noch lange nicht.

Die Idee zur Wiederbelebung dieser Tradition in der Tschechischen Republik kam vom ehemaligen Direktor des Botanischen Gartens der Karls-Universität und bekannten Baumexperten Václav Větvička und dem Holzbildhauer Martin Patřičný. Das Datum der ersten Feier des Tag des Baumes wurde auf den 20. However, due to global warming and drought, record areas of forests have burned in Canada, Russia, and other countries this year. Protecting old forests is more effective in combating climate change than planting new trees. In the Czech Republic, forests cover more than a third of the total area, and they should be given special attention to preserve these valuable ecosystems. Not everyone has the space and time for activism in the field, but our consumer behavior can make a difference. Here are 5 tips on how we can protect trees and contribute to climate change mitigation from the comfort of our homes: 1) Change your consumption habits and buy second-hand products; 2) Avoid buying products with palm oil; 3) Be cautious with paper consumption and choose digital alternatives; 4) Prefer wooden products with the FSC label, which guarantees responsible forest management; 5) Stop procrastination and global warming by using the Forest app, which helps increase productivity and plants real trees. Taking steps to protect our forests is a step towards preserving our planet.

História Dňa stromov
Staré a posvätné háje boli uctievané a chránené od nepamäti. Úcta k nim sa prenášala z generácie na generáciu. Prvý zdokumentovaný sviatok výsadby stromov je z španielskej dediny Mondonedo v roku 1594. Miesto nazývané Alameda de los Remedios je stále osádzané lipami a jasenmi. Na mieste je inštalovaná bronzová pamätná tabuľa pripomínajúca túto udalosť.

V roku 1951 prijala Organizácia OSN pre výživu a poľnohospodárstvo (FAO) nasledujúce uznesenie: Konferencia zistila, že je potrebné, aby si všetci ľudia uvedomovali estetickú, psychologickú a hospodársku hodnotu lesa, a preto sa odporúča, aby sa každoročne všetkými členskými štátmi oslavoval svetový sviatok stromu vtedy, keď sa to zdá vhodné v miestnych podmienkach.

Myšlienku priniesol do Čiech Zväz združení okrasných záhrad a prvýkrát sa tu Deň stromov masovo oslavoval na začiatku apríla roku 1906. Tradícia bola prerušená vojnou a komunistickým režimom a obnovila sa až v roku 2000. Ako sa zdá, podľa narastajúceho záujmu, história Dňa stromov ani po viac ako 150 rokoch zďaleka nekončí.

S nápadom obnoviť túto tradíciu v Českej republike prišli bývalý riaditeľ Botanickej záhrady Univerzity Karlovej a známy popularizátor stromov Václav Větvička a drevo-sochár Martin Patřičný. Dátum prvej oslavy sviatku stromov bol stanovený na 20. októbra 2000, pretože v mnohých lokalitách Českej republiky je to vhodný termín na výsadbu stromov a jeseň je tiež časom, keď sú stromy asi najkrajšie a hrajú všetkými farbami.

Staré odrůdy jsou přizpůsobivé a odolné vůči různým podmínkám a nemusí se bát konkurence moderních odrůd. Heutzutage sind diese alten und vernachlässigten Obstgärten und Bäume in Gefahr, da Unternehmer vernachlässigtes Land und günstige Grundstücke kaufen und diese Quellen für Subventionen sind. Auf unseren Supermarktregalen liegen importierte Äpfel aus Spanien oder Italien. Nur noch wenige Großmütter machen Marmeladen und Sirupe für ihre Enkel. Es gibt auch immer weniger Menschen, die sich um Obstbäume kümmern können oder sogar ihre Sorten erkennen können. Die meisten von uns kennen nur moderne Sorten importierter Äpfel aus Supermärkten und fragen danach in Gärtnereien, wenn wir einen Apfelbaum für unseren Garten kaufen gehen. Es fällt uns meistens nicht ein, dass siebzig Jahre alte Bäume, die in verlassenen und von Wildnis überwucherten Obstgärten hinter dem Dorf wachsen, wertvolle lokale Sorten sind. Warum pflanzen Gemeinden keine Obstalleen und Baumreihen in die Landschaft? Die Rückkehr von Hochstammobstbäumen ist ein sehr wichtiger und unverzichtbarer historischer Bestandteil der hiesigen Landschaft, insbesondere in Bezug auf das Landschaftsbild. Eine solche Allee entlang einer Straße vervollständigt und bereichert das bestehende Ökosystem. Heutzutage haben wir nur noch wenige Möglichkeiten, einen Apfelbaumweg zu gehen, der in jeder Jahreszeit mit der unerwarteten Schönheit seiner Blüten, Blätter oder dem Duft und Geschmack süßer, bunter Früchte lockt. Dies hängt auch mit der Frage zusammen, warum Mostereien, Obstdörrereien und Likörfabriken verschwunden sind. Viele alte Sorten sind an den Ort angepasst, sie tragen zuverlässig auch unter schlechteren Bedingungen, die Bäume sind frostbeständig und meistens resistent gegen verschiedene Krankheiten. Einige von ihnen stehen modernen Apfelbäumen in nichts nach, zum Beispiel die alte Sorte Matčino Grávštýnské, rote Kalvil, weißer Kalvil, Winterapfel oder fast vergessene Äpfel Sudetská Reneta, Panenské české, Řehtáč soudkovitý - das sind wirklich Sorten für Feinschmecker. Our ancestors relied on apples as their main source of fruit and health throughout the winter. Local fruit growers developed varieties ideal for the local climate and had years of experience in their cultivation. However, these old and abandoned orchards or roadside trees are now at risk of extinction as entrepreneurs buy neglected land for cheap and use it as a source of subsidies. We now find imported apples from Spain or Italy on store shelves, and only a few grandmothers make preserves and syrups for their grandchildren. There are also fewer people who know how to care for fruit trees or even recognize their varieties. Most of us are only familiar with modern varieties of imported apples from supermarkets, so we mainly ask for them in nurseries when buying an apple tree for our garden. We rarely consider that seventy-year-old trees growing in abandoned and overgrown orchards outside the village are valuable local varieties. The return of high-stem fruit trees is a very important and indispensable historical element of the local landscape, especially in terms of landscape character. Such an alley lining a road completes and enriches the existing ecosystem. Today, we have few opportunities to walk through an apple alley that offers unexpected beauty of its flowers, leaves, or the scent and taste of sweet colorful fruits in every season. This is also related to the question of why cider presses, fruit dryers, and distilleries have disappeared. Many old varieties are adaptable to the location, reliably bear fruit even in worse conditions, and are hardy against frost and most diseases. Some of them are not inferior in taste to modern apple varieties, such as the old variety Matčino Grávštýnské, red Kalvil, white Kalvil, or the almost forgotten apples Sudetská Reneta, Panenské české, and Řehtáč soudkovitý. These varieties are truly for gourmets. These apple trees are a product of nature and humans who found it worth cultivating them for centuries. We should have respect for them as varieties and for old trees. In the cultural landscape, it has become a tradition to plant trees. If we want to preserve it, you can also celebrate the Day of Original Apple Varieties by planting an apple tree on your land this autumn, but consider carefully which one. Našim predkom poskytovali jablká hlavný zdroj ovocia a zdravia počas celej zimy. Ovocnári vyšľachtili odrody ideálne pre miestne podnebie a mali mnohoročné skúsenosti s ich pestovaním. Teraz týmto starým a opusteným sadom alebo stromom pri cestách hrozí zánik, pretože podnikatelia kupujú zanedbanú pôdu za lacné ceny a tá je zdrojom dotácií. Na pultoch obchodov ležia jablká dovážané zo Španielska alebo Talianska. Zavařeniny, džemy a sirupy robia už len niekoľko babičiek zo zvyku pre svoje vnúčatá. Ubúda aj tých, ktorí sa o ovocné stromy vedia postarať alebo dokonca rozoznať ich odrody. Väčšinou poznáme z hypermarketov len moderné odrody dovážaných jabĺk a preto sa hlavne po nich pýtame v záhradníctvach, keď si ideme kúpiť jablon na svoju záhradu. Väčšinou nás ani nenapadne, že sedemdesiatročné stromy, ktoré nám rastú za dedinou v zpustlých a divočinou pohltených sadoch, sú hodnotná miestna odroda. Aj obec, ktorá sa rozhodne vyzdobiť verejné priestranstvo, radšej siahne po univerzálnych tujách a smrekoch než po odrodách ovocných stromov, ktoré sú úzko späté s históriou ich regiónu. Prečo obce nevysádzajú ovocné aleje a stromoradia do krajiny? Návrat ovocných vysokokmeňov je veľmi dôležitým a nenahraditeľným historickým prvkom miestnej krajiny, najmä z hľadiska krajinného rázu. Irbis je menší než levhart, má měkkou a hustou srst a dlouhý ocas, který mu pomáhá udržovat rovnováhu. Jeho kořistí jsou především horští kopytníci, ale také loví menší zvířata. Irbis žije především na horských loukách a pastvinách v nadmořských výškách 1500-4000 metrů. Divoce žijící populace irbisů je obtížně monitorovatelná, ale odhady z let 2003-2014 uvádějí počet jedinců mezi 3920-7500. Irbis je pod legislativní ochranou, ale největší hrozbou pro něj je ilegální lov a pytláctví. Organizované projekty na ochranu irbisa vznikly až v posledních desetiletích, včetně projektu Global Snow Leopard & Ecosystem Protection Program, který má za cíl ochranu a vytipování zdravých populací irbisa. V zajetí se irbisům daří rozmnožovat a populace v zoologických zahradách je považována za stabilní. Der Schneeleopard ist leider vom Aussterben bedroht, obwohl er eine ökologische und spirituelle Bedeutung für indigene Gemeinschaften hat. Der Schneeleopard (Panthera uncia), auch bekannt als Irbis, ist eine große Katzenart, die in den Bergmassiven Zentralasiens lebt. Der Irbis ähnelt äußerlich einem Leoparden, ist jedoch etwas kleiner und robuster. Sein Körper ist etwa 103-130 cm lang, sein Schwanz 90-105 cm lang und er erreicht eine Schulterhöhe von etwa 60 cm. Männliche Schneeleoparden sind etwas kräftiger als Weibchen. Ihr Fell ist weich, dicht und im Winter besonders lang, mit dunklen Flecken und Rosetten auf hellem Grund. Der lange und kräftige Schwanz hilft dem Irbis, das Gleichgewicht während der Bewegung und Sprünge zu halten. Die Beute des Schneeleoparden sind hauptsächlich Berghuftiere, gelegentlich jagt er jedoch auch kleinere Tiere wie Nagetiere, Hasen oder Vögel. Sein Lebensraum sind hauptsächlich Bergwiesen und Weiden, baumlose und felsige Plateaus oberhalb der Waldgrenze. Er bewegt sich normalerweise in Höhenlagen von 1500-4000 m, im Himalaya wurde er sogar in Höhen von bis zu 6000 m gesichtet, im Dsungarischen Alatau jedoch auch in Höhen unter 1000 m. Aufgrund der Unzugänglichkeit des Lebensraums ist es sehr schwierig, den Bestand der wild lebenden Schneeleoparden zu überwachen. Schätzungen aus den Jahren 2003-2014 geben Zahlen zwischen 3920 und 7500 wild lebenden Individuen an. The snow leopard, also known as the irbis or snow leopard, is a large cat species native to the mountainous regions of Central Asia. It resembles a leopard but is slightly smaller and more robust. The snow leopard's habitat consists mainly of mountain meadows and pastures above the forest line. It primarily preys on mountain ungulates, but also hunts smaller animals such as rodents and birds. The population of wild snow leopards is difficult to monitor due to the inaccessibility of their habitat, but estimates from 2003-2014 range from 3,920 to 7,500 individuals. The species is classified as vulnerable and is protected by legislation, but its main threat is still illegal hunting and poaching for the lucrative trophy trade. Conservation projects for the snow leopard have been established in recent decades, including the Global Snow Leopard & Ecosystem Protection Program, which aims to identify and protect at least 20 healthy populations across the species' range by 2020. In captivity, the snow leopard has been successfully bred, with over 500 individuals in zoos worldwide. The snow leopard is not a common heraldic animal, but it is featured in the coat of arms of the Russian republic of Khakassia and the cities of Almaty and Bishkek. It was also one of the mascots for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

The International Day for the Prevention of Environmental Destruction during Armed Conflicts aims to raise awareness that wars not only harm humans but also the environment. Throughout history, the environment has often been an unacknowledged victim of war, with water wells being polluted, crops burned, forests destroyed, and land poisoned to gain military advantage. The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has found that at least 40% of all internal conflicts in the past 60 years have been linked to the exploitation of natural resources, including high-value resources like timber, diamonds, gold, and oil, as well as vital resources like fertile land and water. It has also been found that conflicts related to natural resources are twice as likely to recur. The United Nations attaches great importance to ensuring that environmental measures are part of conflict prevention strategies, peacekeeping, and peacebuilding, as lasting peace cannot exist if the natural resources that sustain livelihoods and ecosystems are destroyed. On May 27, 2016, the UN Environment Assembly adopted resolution UNEP/EA.2/Res.15, which recognized the role of healthy ecosystems and sustainably managed resources in reducing the risk of armed conflicts and reaffirmed its strong commitment to the full implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals set out in General Assembly resolution 70/1, entitled "Transforming Our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development." This International Day takes on new significance for us in light of the war in Ukraine and currently, especially in Palestine/Israel.

Medzinárodný deň prevencie ničenia životného prostredia počas vojen a ozbrojených konfliktov má pripomínať, že vo vojnách netrpí len človek, ale aj príroda. Vodné studne sú znečistené, úroda je spálená, lesy sú vykázané, pôda je otrávená a zvieratá sú zabité, aby sa získala vojenská výhoda. Program OSN pre životné prostredie (UNEP) zistil, že za posledných 60 rokov bolo najmenej 40 percent všetkých vnútorných konfliktov spojených s využívaním prírodných zdrojov, ako sú drevá, diamanty, zlato, ropa, úrodná pôda a voda. Konflikty týkajúce sa prírodných zdrojov majú tiež dvojnásobne vyššiu pravdepodobnosť opakovania. World Freedom Day was created as a reminder of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The date is not so much about the wall itself, but rather about what it symbolized. The fall of this wall meant the end of communism in Central and Eastern Europe. 

It was created to celebrate the reunification of loved ones separated by the Iron Curtain and different ideologies, and ultimately serves as recognition that the determination of the masses can push boundaries, break unfavorable resolutions, and ultimately determine the type of leadership they desire to live in a freer and more just society.

Na svete je mnoho miest, kde nie je dostupná sloboda pre väčšinu ľudí, ktorí sú nútení žiť prázdne a neuspokojujúce životy, aby vládcovia ich krajín nechali uväzniť alebo niečo horšie. Ak neviete, čo znamená mať strach vyjadriť svoj názor, potom sa môžete považovať za veľmi šťastného, že žijete na mieste, kde je sloboda prioritou a základným ľudským právom. A ako všetko dobré, aj slobodu by sme mali oslavovať, a o tom je Svetový deň slobody. Pre mnohých ľudí je bláznivé premýšľať o svete bez slobody. Mnohí ľudia zažili slobodu počas celého svojho života. Pre mnohých to však nie je realita, a preto je dôležité, aby sme to pochopili a hľadali spôsoby, ako to zmeniť. Svetový deň slobody bol vytvorený ako pripomienka pádu Berlínskeho múru. Dátum nie je tak o múre samotnom, ale skôr o tom, čo symbolizoval. Pád tohto múru znamenal koniec komunizmu vo strednej a východnej Európe. Bol vytvorený na oslavu znovusjednotenia milovaných oddelených železnou oponou a odlišnými ideológiami a v konečnom dôsledku slúži na uznávanie toho, že odhodlanie mas môže posúvať hranice, prelomiť nepriaznivé predsudky a nakoniec určiť typ vedenia, po ktorom túžia, aby mohli žiť vo slobodnejšej a spravodlivejšej spoločnosti.

Der Einfluss der Wissenschaft auf das tägliche Leben der Menschen und ihre tiefgreifenden gesellschaftlichen Auswirkungen, einschließlich ethischer und ökologischer Aspekte, macht wissenschaftliche Grundkenntnisse zu einer unerlässlichen Voraussetzung für effektive demokratische Prozesse. However, one of the biggest threats to the sustainability of global fishery resources is illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) points out that almost 90% of global marine fish populations have been fully exploited, overfished, or depleted to the point where recovery may not be biologically possible. The release of harmful substances, such as plastics and other waste, into water bodies has devastating consequences for aquatic life. Recent research shows that over 50% of plastic waste in the oceans, including the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, consists of fishing nets that hold this plastic island together. The accumulation of waste produced by industrial fishing in the oceans has many negative impacts, including the danger of injury or death to marine animals and the release of microplastic particles. We should not panic, as suggested by this Netflix documentary, but rather take action to address these issues.

V roce 1997 se konalo setkání World Forum of Fish Harvesters amp Fish Workers v New Delhi, které vedlo k vytvoření World Fisheries Forum se zástupci z 18 zemí. Na setkání byla podepsána deklarace obhajující udržitelné rybolovné praktiky a opatření. Rybolov je důležitým zdrojem potravy a příjmů pro mnoho lidí po celém světě. Fibonacciho deň pripomína túto sekvenciu a muža, ktorý ju v roku 1202 upozornil na jej význam pre rozvoj vedy. Samotná sekvencia sa objavila v indickom matematickom systéme medzi 6. a 8. storočím a je spojená so zlatým rezom a zlatým trojuholníkom, ktoré sa v prírode opakovane objavujú. Dne 16. května 2023 vyhlásilo Valné shromáždění OSN 26. listopad Světovým dnem udržitelné dopravy, což je významný krok k podpoře spolupráce v oblasti udržitelné dopravy a prosazování celosvětového závazku v rámci Agendy pro udržitelný rozvoj 2030, Pařížské dohody, Nové městské agendy a Politické deklarace o zvýšení bezpečnosti silničního provozu. Rezoluce vyzývá členské státy, organizace a občanskou společnost připomínat tento den vzděláváním a akcemi na zvyšování povědomí o udržitelné dopravě.

Proti ní stojí až sedm miliard utracených na Black Friday. Přitom z jednoho dne plného slev se v průběhu let stal týden nebo dokonce měsíc věnovaný nákupům a konzumu. Lidé nakupují zboží, které pak ale končí odhozené ve sklepě, vzadu ve skříni nebo dokonce na skládce, a to v mnoha případech s takzvanou falešnou slevou. Každoročně před nimi média varují, falešné slevy jsou pro Black Friday typické. Slevy se podle obchodníků vyšplhají až k 80 %, na českém trhu však dosahují skutečné slevy pouhých asi 19 %. Obchodníci cenu zboží nadsadí a slevu vypočítají z této vyšší částky. Začátky Buy Nothing Day nebyly snadné. V roce 2000 byl některým reklamám Adbusters podporujících Buy Nothing Day odepřen reklamní čas téměř všemi hlavními televizními sítěmi kromě CNN. Brzy se však kampaně začaly objevovat ve Spojených státech, Spojeném království, Izraeli, Rakousku, Německu, Novém Zélandu, Japonsku, Nizozemsku, Francii, Norsku, Finsku a nyní již prakticky po celém svě

The first Buy Nothing Day was organized in Canada in September 1992 as a day to examine the problem of excessive consumption. In 1997, it was moved to the Friday after American Thanksgiving, also known as Black Friday, which is one of the ten busiest shopping days not only in the United States.

According to estimates, Czech customers spend about five to six thousand crowns during Black Friday, while the average annual donation for charity projects is around 500 crowns. Czechs have the opportunity to reflect on where they send their money, as evidenced by the amount of 95 million crowns raised for charity projects during Giving Tuesday, compared to the up to seven billion spent on Black Friday.

What started as a day full of discounts has turned into a week or even a month dedicated to shopping and consumption. People buy goods that end up discarded in the back of the closet or even in landfills, often with so-called fake discounts. Every year, the media warns against fake discounts that are typical for Black Friday. According to retailers, discounts can reach up to 80%, but in the Czech market, real discounts only reach about 19%. Retailers inflate the price of goods and calculate the discount from this higher amount.

Instead of unnecessary spending, support organizations like Ukliďme Česko, which not only organizes volunteer clean-ups but also focuses on innovative projects for environmental protection, such as www.KAMsNIM.cz or www.EKOkalendar.cz.

The beginnings of Buy Nothing Day were not easy. In 2000, some advertisements supporting Buy Nothing Day were denied advertising time by almost all major television networks, except for CNN. However, the campaign soon began to appear in the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, Austria, Germany, New Zealand, Japan, the Netherlands, France, Norway, Finland, and now practically all over the world.

První Buy Nothing Day byl organizován v Kanadě v září 1992 jako den zkoumající problém nadměrné spotřeby. Později byl přesunut na pátek po americkém Dni díkůvzdání, nazývaný také černý pátek, který je jedním z deseti nejrušnějších nákupních dnů ve Spojených státech. Češi utratí během Black Friday průměrně pět až šest tisíc korun, zatímco průměrný roční dar na dobročinné projekty činí kolem 500 korun. The Reverse Advent Calendar campaign aims to raise awareness about the unnecessary waste of usable items and to help those in need. Participants are encouraged to donate one unwanted item from their household every day during Advent, with a focus on warm men's clothing, footwear, and winter accessories. Biodiversity is not the only victim of pesticide use. Pesticides have significant negative effects on soil, water, and human health. Every year, about 41 million people suffer from the consequences of accidental pesticide poisoning, including those who work in agriculture and residents of surrounding communities. Recent numbers from the World Health Organization (WHO) also show how pesticides play a major role in hundreds of thousands of suicides due to the availability of these highly toxic substances.
