Over 7 million metric tons of tuna and tuna-like species are caught annually. These migratory tuna species represent 20 percent of the value of all marine catches and over 8 percent of all globally traded seafood. Given this information, we must recognize the crucial role of tuna in sustainable development of food security, economic opportunities, and people's livelihoods worldwide. Stopping overfishing is vital. However, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization notes that the market demand for tuna remains high and that there is still significant overcapacity in tuna fishing fleets.

Addressing the decline of tuna populations due to overfishing in the world's oceans emphasizes the crucial importance of effective implementation of the international legal framework, as reflected in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), widely known as UNCLOS, strengthened by the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, the United Nations Fish Stocks Agreement, recommendations of its assessment conferences, annual resolutions of the General Assembly on sustainable fisheries, and other efforts by the international community at the global, regional, and national levels.

Currently, over 96 countries are involved in the protection and management of tuna, with an expenditure of nearly $10 billion. Some relevant FAO programs have started to yield positive results in reducing overfishing.

Česká společnost ornitologická každoročně pořádá akci Vítání ptačího zpěvu, která se koná na stovce míst po celé republice. Asociácia CZ Biom už tretí rok po sebe pripravuje tematickú výzvu s názvom "NAKOPEJ SI PYTEL", v rámci ktorej si návštevníci zapojených kompostární môžu odniesť pytel kompostu na svoje záhrady zdarma. Cieľom akcie je poukázať na dôležitú úlohu kompostární pri spracovaní bioodpadov a ich opätovného využitia ako hnojiva pre pôdu. Zúčastnené kompostárne vyhradia niekoľko ton kompostu, ktorý si ľudia budú môcť sami nakopať do pytle a odviezť. Kompost má celý rad pozitívnych účinkov na pôdne vlastnosti, ako je zvyšovanie množstva organického materiálu v pôde, zlepšovanie jej štruktúry a zpracovateľnosti, upravovanie pH pôdy, zvyšovanie výnosovej stability plodín, poskytovanie živín, ochrana vody pred eutrofizáciou a zlepšovanie zadržiavania vody v pôde.

Mezinárodní den lesních školek, který se koná 3. května, letos připadá na téma klidu, odpočinku a spánku. České lesní školky si pro rok 2023 zvolily téma "LESsnění", aby ukázaly, jak v lesních školkách probíhá odpočinek a spánek jako základní potřeba dětí. Osvěta veřejnosti a členům Asociace lesních mateřských škol bude součástí kampaně, která se zaměří na vyvracení mýtů spojených se spánkem a odpočinkem v lesních školkách. Asociace lesních mateřských škol, která funguje již 10 let, má aktuálně 150 členů a jejím cílem je rozvíjení dobrých podmínek pro vzdělávání předškolních dětí v přírodě.

Der Internationale Tag ist oft ein Tag der offenen Tür in Waldkindergärten. Die Waldkindergärten haben spezielle Schlaf- und Ruhebereiche, die anders aussehen als in herkömmlichen Kindergärten. Es ist typisch, dass die Kinder in ihren eigenen Schlafsäcken, in Schlafnestern, Hängematten oder Kinderbetten schlafen. Es ist wichtig zu betonen, dass Kinder in angemessener Wärme und Trockenheit sind. Jedes Kind braucht Schlaf, und es liegt an den Erwachsenen, den Schlüssel zu finden, der dem Kind hilft, diese gesunde Gewohnheit zu entwickeln. Die Assoziation der Waldkindergärten besteht seit 10 Jahren und hat derzeit 150 Mitglieder. Das langfristige Ziel ist es, gute Bedingungen für die frühkindliche Bildung in der Natur das ganze Jahr über zu schaffen. Im Laufe der Geschichte dienten Esel auf der ganzen Welt als Reittiere und Lastenträger in einigen der anspruchsvollsten Gelände und unter widrigen klimatischen Bedingungen, und das mit Stolz und Ausdauer. Es ist nicht überraschend, dass der Erfolg dieser Tiere teilweise auf ihren sturen Charakter zurückzuführen ist, und der Welt-Esel-Tag ehrt sie zusammen mit ihren möglicherweise lobenswerteren Eigenschaften.

Svetový deň stahovavých vtákov je každoročná osvetová kampaň, ktorá zdôrazňuje potrebu ochrany stahovavých vtákov a ich biotopov. Cieľom Dňa fascinácie rastlinami je oboznámiť verejnosť s aktuálnymi výskumami a ukázať, prečo sú rastliny dôležité a zaujímavé. Chcú tiež zasvätiť čo najviac ľudí do tajov botaniky, záhradníctva, poľnohospodárstva a lesníctva. V spolupráci s Prírodovedeckou fakultou UJEP pripravili v Botanickej záhrade Teplice Deň fascinácie rastlinami, kde sa deti hravou formou bližšie zoznámia s rastlinným svetom. Akcia sa koná aj vo Výskumnom ústave pícninárskej v Troubsku dňa 30. 5. 2023.

Světový den včel byl zvolen na počest Antona Janši, průkopníka moderního včelařství. Včelstva po celém světě trpí úbytkem, což má negativní dopad na zemědělskou produkci. Tato soustava se nazývá Natura 2000 a jejím cílem je ochrana vzácných druhů živočichů, rostlin a přírodních stanovišť. Každý členský stát EU má povinnost vyhlásit a chránit tato území. V České republice je významným projektem Jedna příroda, který se zabývá péčí o tato území a je financován z programu LIFE EU. Projekt se zaměřuje na spolupráci s vlastníky a hospodáři, uzavírání smluv a dohod o ochraně území a hodnocení socioekonomických přínosů přírody. Směrnice o ptácích požaduje ochranu stanovišť ohrožených druhů ptáků prostřednictvím vymezení ptačích oblastí, které jsou součástí Natura 2000. V České republice existuje 41 ptačích oblastí, které zajišťují ochranu hnízdišť, biotopů a tahových zastávek ptáků. Díky péči o tyto oblasti se daří zvyšovat početnost populací ohrožených druhů ptáků. Jeder Mitgliedstaat der Europäischen Union ist verpflichtet, das Natura-2000-Netzwerk auf seinem Gebiet zu erklären und seinen Schutz zu gewährleisten. Ein bedeutendes Projekt in der Tschechischen Republik, das sich mit der Pflege dieser Gebiete befasst und aus dem EU-LIFE-Programm finanziert wird, ist seit 2020 "Jedna příroda" (Eine Natur). Im Rahmen dieses Projekts wurde die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Naturschutz und Grundstückseigentümern und -bewirtschaftern erheblich ausgebaut. Bei der Vogelkunde stehen derzeit weitere wichtige Herausforderungen im Zusammenhang mit den häufigen Arten im Vordergrund. Insbesondere in der Agrarlandschaft nimmt die Anzahl der Vogelarten aufgrund der zunehmenden Intensität der Landwirtschaft seit den 1980er Jahren ab, und dieser negative Trend konnte bisher nicht gestoppt werden. Es besteht sogar die Gefahr, dass einige zuvor häufige Vogelarten wie die Eule oder das Rebhuhn aus unserer Natur vollständig verschwinden.

Avšak, v ochrane vtákov je stále potrebné čeliť výzvam, najmä v súvislosti s intenzívnym poľnohospodárstvom, ktoré spôsobuje úbytok bežných druhov vtákov.

Die Teeindustrie ist ein wichtiger Lebensunterhalt für Millionen von Familien in Entwicklungsländern und spielt eine bedeutende Rolle bei der Armutsbekämpfung und der Sicherung der Ernährung in diesen Ländern. Der Weltbiodiversitätstag, auch Tag der biologischen Vielfalt genannt, wurde von der UN-Generalversammlung ausgerufen, um den Tag zu feiern, an dem das Übereinkommen über die biologische Vielfalt am 22. Mai 1992 verabschiedet wurde. In der Tschechischen Republik trat das Übereinkommen am 3. März 1994 in Kraft. Die Tschechische Republik, wie auch andere Länder und die gesamte EU, entwickeln und implementieren Maßnahmen zur Verringerung der Bedrohung der Natur und zum Erhalt ihres Wertes im Einklang mit dem Übereinkommen. Die aktuelle Strategie der EU für die biologische Vielfalt bis 2030 umfasst beispielsweise Ziele zur Stärkung des Schutzes und zur Verbesserung des Zustands von Schutzgebieten, landwirtschaftlichen Landschaften, städtischen Umgebungen usw. Svetový deň biodiverzity, teda deň biologickej rozmanitosti, bol vyhlásený Valným zhromaždením OSN na počesť dňa, keď bola vytvorená Medzinárodná dohoda o biologickej rozmanitosti, teda 22. mája 1992. Everyone can go to the forest anytime, but there is only one day when owners of municipal, private, and church forests personally open their forests to the public. This year, the event called Open Forest Day, organized by SVOL and its members, will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The owners of the forests have prepared guided walks in the forest, demonstrations of forestry work and reforestation, and examples of forest education. Come to the Open Forest Day event to learn all this and much more. You will have the opportunity to meet the forest owners, talk to them about how they take care of their forests and deal with climate change, and even try some forestry activities yourself. There will also be educational trails for children, demonstrations of heavy machinery and horses, meetings with foresters, and examples of their work. The event aims to show why it is important to manage forests and how non-state forest owners take care of them. The program of the event will vary depending on the size of the property and the possibilities of the individual members. Vydejte sa do lesa môže každý a kedykoľvek. Ale deň, kedy vlastníci obecných, súkromných a cirkevných lesov osobne otvárajú svoje lesy verejnosti, je len jeden. Tento rok sa termín koná v sobotu 13. mája 2023. Vlastníci lesov pripravujú komentované prechádzky v lese, ukážky lesníckych prác, zalesňovania a lesnej pedagogiky. Príďte na akciu Deň otvorených lesov, kde sa dozviete o raste stromov, výrobe kyslíka, rozdieloch medzi lesníkom a myslivcom a mnoho ďalšieho. Pre deti sú pripravené poznávacie chodníky s lesnou tematikou, ukážky práce s ťažkou technikou a koňmi, stretnutia s lesníkmi a príklady ich práce, výcvik dravcov, možnosť výroby z dreva a ochutnávka miestnych pochutín. Hlavným cieľom akcie je ukázať dôležitosť hospodárenia v lesoch a ako sa o ne starajú vlastníci súkromných lesov. V České republice se často mluví o migrační prostupnosti rybích druhů, zejména úhoře a lososa. Losos se vytírá v řekách a potocích a poté putuje do moře, kde tráví většinu svého života. Po dosažení pohlavní dospělosti se vrací zpět do řek, kde se vytírá a ukončuje svůj životní cyklus. Úhoři se vytírají v oblasti Sargasového moře a poté putují do sladkých vod, kde prožijí většinu svého života. Na konci života se vydávají zpět na pouť do Sargasového moře k výtěru. In Bezug auf die Durchlässigkeit unserer Flüsse in der Tschechischen Republik werden am häufigsten zwei Fischarten genannt: der Aal und der Lachs. Der Lachs laicht in Flüssen und Bächen, von wo er als ausgewachsenes Individuum, genannt Smolt, ins Meer wandert, wo er den Großteil seines Lebens verbringt. Nach Erreichen der Geschlechtsreife kehrt er flussaufwärts zurück, um zu laichen und seinen Lebenszyklus abzuschließen. Im Gegensatz dazu laichen Aale im Sargassosee, wo ihre Reise in Süßwasser beginnt, wo sie den Großteil ihres Lebens verbringen, bevor sie sich am Ende ihrer Reise zurück in den Sargassosee begeben.

Beide Arten haben also entgegengesetzte Verhaltensmuster. Der Lachs ist anadrom, er wandert zum Laichen vom Meer in die Flüsse, während der Aal katadrom ist und vom Fluss zum Laichen ins Meer wandert. Beide Arten stoßen jedoch auf ihrer Reise auf eine Vielzahl von Wanderbarrieren. Dies sind hauptsächlich Stauseen mit elektrischen Turbinen, die die wandernde Population im besten Fall stoppen und im schlimmsten Fall physisch vollständig zerstören können.

In the context of the Czech Republic, two fish species are most commonly discussed in relation to the migratory permeability of our rivers: eel and salmon. Salmon migrates from rivers and streams to the sea, where it spends most of its life. After reaching sexual maturity, it returns upstream to the rivers to spawn and complete its life cycle. On the other hand, eels spawn in the Sargasso Sea, where their journey to freshwater begins. They spend most of their lives in freshwater and then embark on a journey back to the Sargasso Sea to spawn. Both species encounter various migration barriers along the way, mainly in the form of dam reservoirs with electric turbines, which can either stop or completely destroy the migrating population. Everyone is welcome to join this celebration and organize their own event. This time, we celebrate our love for fish and rivers - love flows.

V Českej republike sa najčastejšie diskutuje o migrácii dvoch druhov rýb - úhorov a lososov. Losos sa vytiera v riekach a potokoch a potom putuje do mora, kde strávi väčšinu svojho života. Historie národních parků v Evropě začala v roce 1909 ve Švédsku. EDP slavíme 24. května a hlavním cílem je přiblížit chráněná území všem lidem. Chráněná území, jako jsou národní parky, biosférické rezervace a chráněné krajinné oblasti, mají nejen poslání ochrany ohrožených druhů, ale také slouží jako místo pro vzdělávání a rekreaci. Federace přírodních a národních parků Evropy (EUROPARC) zastřešuje organizace z 38 zemí, které se starají o téměř 400 chráněných území. V České republice existuje 4 národní parky a 25 chráněných krajinných oblastí. Cílem ochrany přírody je nabízet prostor pro poučení a odpočinek v chráněných územích.

Die Idee des Europäischen Tages der Parks (EDP) stammt von der Organisation EUROPARC Federation, die sich mit dem internationalen Naturschutz, insbesondere durch größere Schutzgebiete, befasst. Um das Interesse an diesen Gebieten zu steigern, wurde der Europäische Tag der Parks ins Leben gerufen. Zum ersten Mal fand der EDP im Jahr 1999 statt und seitdem gibt es in allen europäischen Ländern verschiedene Veranstaltungen.

Die Geschichte der großen Schutzgebiete geht bereits auf das Jahr 1872 zurück, als der erste Nationalpark der Welt, der Yellowstone-Nationalpark in den USA, ausgewiesen wurde. Die Geschichte der europäischen Nationalparks begann zwar mit mehr als 30-jähriger Verzögerung in Schweden, aber bereits 1909 wurden neun Nationalparks ausgewiesen. Zur Erinnerung an dieses Jubiläum feiern wir am 24. Mai den EDP in ganz Europa. Das grundlegende Konzept der Feierlichkeiten besteht darin, geschützte Gebiete allen Menschen näher zu bringen, denn Naturschutz ist nicht nur Sache von Ökologen, Zoologen oder Botanikern. Naturschutz und geschützte Gebiete sind für jeden da und bieten uns viel mehr, als es auf den ersten Blick scheinen mag.

Große Schutzgebiete, zu denen nicht nur Nationalparks, sondern auch geschützte Landschaftsgebiete, Naturparks, von der UNESCO ausgewiesene Biosphärenreservate und das NATURA 2000-Netzwerk gehören, wurden nach und nach in allen europäischen Ländern ausgewiesen. In den hundert Jahren ihres Bestehens sind diese Gebiete neben ihrer Hauptaufgabe, dem Schutz gefährdeter Arten und Gemeinschaften, auch zu bedeutenden Orten für Bildung und Erholung der Bürger geworden.

Der Europäische Verband der Natur- und Nationalparks EUROPARC umfasst 370 Organisationen aus 38 europäischen Ländern, die sich um fast 400 Schutzgebiete kümmern. Die Verwaltungen dieser Schutzgebiete in ganz Europa erinnern an diesem Tag insbesondere mit einem umfangreichen Angebot an Programmen für die Öffentlichkeit, wie offene Türen, Führungen usw.

European national parks were established with a delay of over 30 years, but in 1909, nine national parks were declared in Sweden. The EDP, celebrated on May 24th, aims to bring protected areas closer to everyone, emphasizing that nature conservation is not just for ecologists, zoologists, or botanists. Protected areas provide more than meets the eye, offering education and recreational opportunities for all. The EUROPARC Federation, which oversees nearly 400 protected areas in 38 European countries, organizes various programs and activities on this day, such as open days, excursions, and exhibitions. In the Czech Republic, there are currently four national parks and 25 protected landscape areas, all striving to offer opportunities for learning and relaxation in a sustainable manner.

S ideou Európskeho dňa parkov EDP prišla organizácia EUROPARC Federation, ktorá sa zaoberá medzinárodnou ochranou prírody, najmä formou chránených území väčšieho rozsahu. Cieľom EDP je zvýšiť záujem o tieto územia. EDP sa koná od roku 1999 a každým rokom pribúda viac podujatí vo všetkých krajinách Európy. 

Veľkoplošné chránené územia, vrátane národných parkov, chránených krajinných oblastí, prírodných parkov a biosférických rezervácií vyhlasovaných UNESCO a územných sústav NATURA 2000, boli postupne vyhlasované vo všetkých krajinách Európy. Okrem ochrany ohrozených druhov a spoločenstiev sa tieto územia stali aj významným miestom pre vzdelávanie a rekreáciu občanov.

Federácia prírodných a národných parkov Európy EUROPARC zastrešuje 370 organizácií z 38 krajín Európy, ktoré sa starajú o takmer 400 chránených území. Správy týchto území v celej Európe oslavujú tento deň ponukou programov pre verejnosť, ako sú dni otvorených dverí, exkurzie a podobne.

V Českej republike máme v súčasnosti 4 národné parky a 25 chránených krajinných oblastí. Cieľom ochrany prírody je poskytovať v týchto územiach priestor pre vzdelávanie a oddych, ak tieto aktivity prebiehajú udržateľným spôsobom.

Vydra říční je ohrožený druh, který je dnes na Červeném seznamu IUCN. Je to kunovitá šelma s protáhlým tělem a dlouhým ocasem, který slouží jako kormidlo při plavání. Vydra se živí rybami, žábami, raky a vodními ptáky. Obývá čisté řeky a potoky a staví si nory na březích. Rozmnožuje se v březnu a dubnu a samice rodí 1 až 3 mláďata, která jsou zpočátku zcela závislá na mateřském mléce. Vydra říční je silně ohrožený druh, a proto je důležité chránit jeho populace a zlepšit povědomí lidí o této šelmě.

Auf der ganzen Welt finden Veranstaltungen statt, die verschiedene Arten von Ottern vorstellen und ihren Schutz unterstützen. Alle Otterarten stehen heute auf der Roten Liste der IUCN und ihre Populationen nehmen ab. Sie leiden unter Umweltverschmutzung und Toxinen in der Nahrungskette, schlechter Wasserqualität, schlechter Verfügbarkeit von Nahrung, illegalem Fang und zunehmendem Verkehrsaufkommen. Es handelt sich um faszinierende Tiere, deren Anwesenheit auf die Sauberkeit der Umwelt hinweist. Wir sollten sie respektieren und schützen. Das größte Problem ist das weltweit geringe Bewusstsein der Menschen für Otter. Die Verbesserung dieser Situation zielt auch auf die Ausrufung des Internationalen Ottertages ab.

Around the world, there are many events aimed at introducing different otter species and supporting their conservation. All otter species are currently on the IUCN Red List and their populations are declining due to environmental pollution, toxins in the food chain, poor water quality, limited food availability, illegal hunting, and increasing traffic density. Otters are fascinating animals whose presence indicates the cleanliness of the environment. The biggest problem is the low awareness of otters worldwide. The International Otter Day aims to improve this situation. The Eurasian otter is a carnivorous mammal with a cylindrical body, a long muscular tail, short legs adapted for swimming, and webbed feet. It weighs between 4 and 12 kg and feeds mainly on fish, but also eats frogs, crayfish, and water birds. It lives in clean rivers, streams, and sometimes ponds, and marks its territory with piles of feces. Otters are solitary animals and can live up to 15-20 years. They reproduce in March and April, with females giving birth to 1-3 blind and dependent offspring after a gestation period of 61-74 days. Did you know that there are 14 otter species worldwide, but only one, the Eurasian otter, is found in the Czech Republic?

Po celém světě se koná řada akcí, které mají za cíl představit jednotlivé druhy vyder a podpořit jejich ochranu. Všechny druhy vyder jsou dnes na Červeném seznamu IUCN a jejich populace klesá. Trápí je znečištění prostředí a toxiny v potravním řetězci, špatná kvalita vody, horší dostupnost potravy, nelegální lov i zvyšující se hustota dopravy. Jde o úchvatné živočichy, jejichž přítomnost poukazuje na čistotu životního prostředí. Měli bychom si jich vážit a chránit je. Největším problémem je celosvětově nízké povědomí lidí o vydrách. Zlepšení tohoto stavu má za cíl právě i vyhlášení Mezinárodního dne vyder.

Po celom svete sa koná rad akcií, ktoré majú za cieľ predstaviť jednotlivé druhy vyder a podporiť ich ochranu. Všetky druhy vyder sú dnes na Červenom zozname IUCN a ich populácia klesá. Trápi ich znečistenie prostredia a toxíny v potravnom reťazci, zlá kvalita vody, horšia dostupnosť potravy, nelegálny lov aj zvyšujúca sa hustota dopravy. Ide o úchvatné živočíchy, ktorých prítomnosť poukazuje na čistotu životného prostredia. Mali by sme si ich vážiť a chrániť ich. Najväčším problémom je celosvetovo nízke povedomie ľudí o vydrách. Zlepšenie tohto stavu má za cieľ práve aj vyhlásenie Medzinárodného dňa vyder.

Mezinárodní den brambor, oslavovaný 30. května, zvyšuje povědomí o významu brambor pro potravinovou bezpečnost a udržitelný rozvoj. Brambory jsou klíčové pro zajištění výživy, zejména v oblastech s omezenými přírodními zdroji. Jsou také plodinou šetrnou ke klimatu díky nízkým emisím skleníkových plynů. Tento den podporuje ochranu a genetické zlepšování brambor, které jsou důležité pro adaptaci na měnící se podmínky a podporu diverzity.

Der Internationale Tag der Kartoffel, der am 30. Mai gefeiert wird, erhöht das Bewusstsein für die Bedeutung der Kartoffel für die Ernährungssicherheit und nachhaltige Entwicklung. International Potato Day, celebrated on May 30th, raises awareness about the importance of potatoes for food security and sustainable development. Medzinárodný deň zemiakov, oslavovaný 30. mája, zvyšuje povedomie o význame zemiakov pre potravinovú bezpečnosť a udržateľný rozvoj. Nicméně voda byla a stále je pro všechny velice důležitý prvek potřebný pro život i úrodu. Oslavte proto tento veselý lidový svátek v podobném duchu a vypravte se na výlet za některou z našich lesních studánek, třeba potřebuje vyčistit. Kdo ví, možná ještě jednou budeme studánky potřebovat více než jsme ochotni si připustit.

Mädchen beteten früher an diesem Feiertag für sauberes Wasser, Ernte und alles wurde mit Tanz und Musik abgeschlossen. Außerhalb der Trockenzeit wurde das Ritual auch während der zweiten Hälfte des Frühlings bis zur Johannisnacht durchgeführt. Brunnen wurden auch während der Kräuterweihe, dem Mädchenfest am Pfingstsonntag, geöffnet oder gereinigt. Über diesen Brauch informierte bereits im Jahr 1697 der Jesuitenmissionar Ferdinand Zelechovský, der in der Region Bechyně tätig war. Es ist nicht genau bekannt, wann dieser alte Brauch wiederbelebt wurde, bei dem Mädchen Brunnen in ihren eigenen und benachbarten Dörfern besuchten und im Frühling reinigten. Wasser war und ist jedoch ein sehr wichtiger Bestandteil für das Leben und die Ernte. Feiern Sie daher dieses fröhliche Volksfest in ähnlicher Weise und machen Sie einen Ausflug zu einem unserer Waldbrunnen, vielleicht muss er gereinigt werden. Girls used to pray for clean water and a good harvest during this holiday, which was concluded with dancing and music. The ritual was performed during the second half of spring until St. John's Night. The tradition of visiting and cleaning the wells dates back to at least 1697. The exact date of the revival of this ancient tradition is unknown, but water is still a vital element for everyone. Celebrate this joyful folk holiday in a similar spirit and take a trip to one of our forest wells, perhaps it needs cleaning. Who knows, maybe we will need the wells more than we are willing to admit in the future.

World Parrot Trust zorganizoval první Světový den papoušků v roce 2004. V roce 2007 byl oznámen trvalý zákaz dovozu volně žijících papoušků do Evropské unie. Existuje asi 350 druhů papoušků, z nichž je téměř polovina ohrožena. Papoušci jsou inteligentní a někteří z nich umí mluvit. Papoušci se ve volné přírodě páří na celý život a mají silný zobák. Největší papoušek kakapo nemůže létat a v Indii je zakázáno dávat papoušky do klece. K oslavě Světového dne papoušků se doporučuje navštívit papoušky v zoo, zjistit více o různých druzích papoušků, přispět organizaci na ochranu papoušků nebo sdílet fotky a příběhy papoušků na sociálních sítích.

Der World Parrot Trust hat den ersten Welt-Papageientag im Jahr 2004 organisiert. Am 31. Mai versammelte der WPT Papageien auf dem Trafalgar Square in London. Von dort aus marschierten Organisatoren und Unterstützer in Richtung Downing Street. Anschließend übergaben sie eine Petition mit 33.000 Unterschriften an den Premierminister des Vereinigten Königreichs, in der ein vollständiges Verbot des Imports wildlebender Papageien in die Europäische Union gefordert wurde. Im Jahr 2007 kündigte die Europäische Kommission ein dauerhaftes Verbot des Imports wildlebender Vögel, einschließlich Papageien, an.

Nemoci přenášené potravinami postihnou každý rok 1 z 10 lidí na celém světě a potravinové normy nám pomáhají zajistit, aby to, co jíme, bylo bezpečné. Cílem tohoto dne je upozornit na prevenci, rozpoznávání a zvládání rizik z potravin a zlepšit povědomí veřejnosti o bezpečnosti potravin. Ministerstvo zemědělství se tématem bezpečnosti potravin zabývá ve spolupráci se svými partnery, včetně Ministerstva zdravotnictví. Regulační systém EU i ČR zaručuje vysokou úroveň bezpečnosti potravin, ale je důležité zvýšit povědomí o této problematice.

Der Welttag der Lebensmittelsicherheit wird jedes Jahr am 7. Juni gefeiert. Er wurde von der FAO und der WHO unterstützt und vom UN-Generalversammlung am 20. Dezember 2018 ausgerufen. Das Ziel des Tages ist es, das Bewusstsein für Lebensmittelsicherheit zu schärfen und Maßnahmen zur Prävention, Erkennung und Bewältigung von Lebensmittelrisiken zu fördern. Das Thema Lebensmittelsicherheit ist für das Landwirtschaftsministerium von großer Bedeutung, das in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Gesundheitsministerium verschiedene Aktivitäten in diesem Bereich durchführt. The World Food Safety Day, established by the United Nations in 2018, aims to raise awareness about food safety and inspire further actions in the prevention, recognition, and management of food risks. Foodborne diseases affect 1 in 10 people worldwide every year, and food standards help ensure the safety of what we eat. The Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, addresses food safety through various activities and serves as a contact point for communication with the European Food Safety Authority. Despite the high level of food safety guaranteed by the regulatory systems of the EU and the Czech Republic, it is important to continuously raise awareness about food safety. Svetový deň bezpečnosti potravín, ktorý sa každoročne oslavuje 7. júna, upozorňuje na potravinové normy a ich dôležitosť pre bezpečnosť potravín. Rorýs obecný je zvláště chráněným druhem ptáka, který patří do čeledi rorýsovití a řádu svišťounů. Je to tažný druh, který přilétá na naše území na konci dubna a odletá na konci července. Hnízdí vysoko na budovách ve městech a kladou koncem května 2-3 vejce. Potravu tvoří drobný hmyz, který loví ve vzduchu. Rorýs je bezbranný na zemi, proto je důležité chránit jeho hnízda a nezasahovat do jejich prostředí. Rorýs je zvláště chráněným druhem podle zákona o ochraně přírody a krajiny. Pokud je nutné provádět stavební úpravy na budovách, je vhodné je plánovat mimo období rozmnožování rorýsů. Der Mauersegler (Apus apus) ist eine besonders geschützte Art nach dem Gesetz Nr. 114/1992 über den Schutz von Natur und Landschaft. Er gehört zur Familie der Segler und zur Ordnung der Seglerartigen. Der Mauersegler ist ein Zugvogel und kommt Ende April bis Anfang Mai an und fliegt Ende Juli bis Anfang August ab. Er überwintert in Mittel- und Südafrika. Seine Nistplätze befinden sich in hohen Gebäuden in älteren städtischen Siedlungen, Fabrikschornsteinen oder in Höhlen hoher Bäume. Das Brüten findet einmal im Jahr von Mai bis Juli statt, wobei die Weibchen Ende Mai 2-3 weiße Eier legen. Die Brutzeit beträgt 18-20 Tage und die Jungen verlassen das Nest nach 42-57 Tagen. Die Hauptnahrung des Mauerseglers besteht aus Insekten wie Mücken, Fliegen, Blattläusen und Spinnen. Der Mauersegler ist ein ausgezeichneter Flieger und kann bis zu 800 km pro Tag zurücklegen. Er ist jedoch hilflos am Boden und benötigt unsere Hilfe, wenn er herunterfällt. Der Mauersegler ist gesetzlich geschützt und es ist verboten, in seine natürliche Entwicklung einzugreifen, seine Nester zu stören oder zu zerstören. Bei Verstößen können Geldstrafen von bis zu 2.000.000 CZK verhängt werden. Um Probleme zu vermeiden, sollten Bauarbeiten während der Brutzeit vermieden und Lüftungsöffnungen nicht verschlossen werden. Wenn dies nicht möglich ist, sollten Maßnahmen ergriffen werden, um alternative Nistplätze zu schaffen.

According to the law on the protection of nature and landscape, the common swift is a protected species and is listed as endangered. They belong to the family Apodidae and the order Apodiformes. They are migratory birds and arrive in late April to early May and leave by the end of July or early August. They nest in high buildings in urban areas and lay 2-3 white eggs in May. The incubation period is 18-20 days and the young become independent after 42-57 days. They feed on small insects and can catch up to 20,000 individuals per day. They are excellent flyers, reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h, but are helpless on the ground. They are protected by law and it is prohibited to harm or disturb them or their nests. Construction activities during their breeding season can lead to the destruction of their habitats. To avoid problems, it is recommended to avoid construction during their breeding season or take measures to protect their nests. Pokud je nutné provádět stavební úpravy na budovách, je vhodné je provádět mimo období hnízdění rorýsů. Pokud je to možné, je vhodné na budovách instalovat náhradní hnízdiště. Dne 19. června 2023 byla přijata Dohoda o biodiverzitě volného moře, která se týká mezinárodních prostorů v oceánech. Vliv člověka na život v mořích a oceánech stále roste, a to kvůli průmyslovému rybolovu. Ochrana moří se zaměřuje na pobřežní ekosystémy, ale vědci varují také před ničením hlubokomořských ekosystémů. Organizace The Ocean Project a World Ocean Network pořádají Světový den oceánů od roku 2002, aby zvýšily povědomí o významu oceánů a jejich ochraně. Kniha "Moře v 300 otázkách a odpovědích" a "Plasticus maritimus invazivní druh" se zabývají problematikou mořského prostředí a znečištěním plastovými odpady.

Am 19. Juni 2023 wurde in New York das lang erwartete Abkommen über die biologische Vielfalt der offenen Meere formell im Hauptquartier der Vereinten Nationen verabschiedet. Die Vereinbarung betrifft internationale Gewässer, in denen alle Länder der Welt die gleichen Rechte haben und die 42% der Erdoberfläche, 64% der Meeresflächen und 95% des Meeresvolumens ausmachen. Der Einfluss des Menschen auf das Leben in den Meeren und Ozeanen ist erheblich und nimmt weiter zu. Aufgrund der industriellen Fischerei verschwinden einige Fischarten schnell aus den Ozeanen. Der Schutz der Meere konzentriert sich bisher hauptsächlich auf Küstenökosysteme und tropische Korallenriffe, aber in letzter Zeit warnen Wissenschaftler auch vor der Zerstörung der Tiefseeekosysteme. Die Tiefsee macht 85% der Meeresfläche und 90% des Meeresvolumens aus. Übermäßige Küstenfischerei hat zu einem erheblichen Rückgang der Fischbestände geführt, weshalb Fischer in tiefere Gewässer gewechselt sind und heute dank moderner Ausrüstung in großen Tiefen fischen können. Sie verwenden Schleppnetze, die jedes Jahr 15 Millionen Quadratkilometer Meeresboden zerstören. Seit 2002 können wir uns dank der Organisatoren dieses Tages, den Organisationen The Ocean Project und World Ocean Network, bewusst machen, was die Ozeane uns bieten, von Sauerstoff, der das Klima reguliert, über Nahrung und Medizin bis hin zur atemberaubenden Schönheit der Unterwasserwelt. Die Organisatoren hoffen, dass sie durch die Erhöhung des Bewusstseins dafür, was der Ozean bietet, andere dazu bringen können, diese wertvolle Umgebung zu schützen, insbesondere in Zeiten des Klimawandels, des Plastikmülls, der übermäßigen Fischerei und ökologischer Katastrophen wie Ölverschmutzungen und anderen Bedrohungen. On June 19, 2023, the long-awaited Agreement on Biodiversity of the High Seas was formally adopted at the UN headquarters in New York. The agreement applies to international waters, which represent 42% of the Earth's surface, 64% of the ocean area, and 95% of its volume. Human impact on marine life is significant and increasing, with certain fish species disappearing rapidly due to industrial fishing. The protection of oceans has mainly focused on coastal ecosystems and tropical coral reefs, but scientists are now warning about the destruction of deep-sea ecosystems. Deep-sea areas cover 85% of the ocean floor and 90% of its volume. Overfishing has led to a decline in fish populations, prompting fishermen to move to deeper waters and using destructive fishing methods that destroy 15 million km2 of the seabed each year. World Oceans Day, organized by The Ocean Project and World Ocean Network since 2002, aims to raise awareness of the importance of oceans and the threats they face, such as climate change, plastic pollution, overfishing, and ecological disasters. The day encourages individuals to get involved in activities like beach clean-ups and learning about the oceans. Two recently published books about the oceans and the environment provide accessible information for both children and adults. The books aim to increase knowledge about the oceans and promote responsible plastic use and recycling.

Člověk má závažný vliv na život v mořích a oceánech, což vede k vymírání některých druhů ryb. K oslavě dne oceánů vyšly knihy o mořích a oceánech, které jsou určeny i dětem.

V rámci Mezinárodního dne rysů se letos zapojí minimálně 7 evropských zemí, aby upozornily na ochranu rysa ostrovida. Rys ostrovid je největší kočkovitá šelma v České republice, Německu a Rakousku a patří k přísně chráněným ohroženým druhům. Českobavorskorakouská rysí populace je považována za vysoce ohroženou kvůli své nízké početnosti a izolovanosti od ostatních rysích populací. Projekt 3LYNX se zaměřuje na ochranu rysa ostrovida.

Cílem akce je upozornit na ochranu rysa ostrovida v Evropě a seznámit veřejnost s tímto druhem. Mezinárodní den rysů se letos koná ve 7 evropských zemích. Rys ostrovid je největší kočkovitá šelma v České republice, Německu a Rakousku a je chráněn evropskou legislativou. Rysí populace v Českobavorskorakouské oblasti je izolovaná a ohrožená. Ziel dieser Veranstaltung ist es, auf den Schutz des Luchses in Europa aufmerksam zu machen und die Öffentlichkeit über das Leben dieser meist versteckt lebenden Katzenart zu informieren. In diesem Jahr beteiligen sich mindestens 7 europäische Länder am Internationalen Tag des Luchses. Der Luchs ist die größte Katzenart in Tschechien, Deutschland und Österreich und wird durch europäische Gesetzgebung geschützt. Die Luchspopulation in der Tschechobavorskorakouská-Region ist isoliert und gefährdet. Das Projekt 3LYNX kann auf der Website www.3lynx.eu verfolgt werden.

The aim of this event is to raise awareness about the protection of the Eurasian lynx in Europe and to familiarize people with the life of these elusive felines. The International Lynx Day will be celebrated in at least 7 European countries this year. The Eurasian lynx is the largest wild cat in the Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria, and is considered a strictly protected and endangered species. The Czech-Bavarian-Austrian lynx population is spread across these three countries and occupies a vast territory. Due to its low population and isolation from other lynx populations, it is highly endangered. The lynx is also threatened in other areas, such as the Alps and the Dinaric Karst. Cieľom tejto akcie je upozorniť na problematiku ochrany rysa ostrovida v Európe a zároveň ľudí bližšie oboznámiť s životom našich rysov, ktoré sú väčšinou skryto žijúce mačacie šelmy. Všetky akcie sú preto zamerané na širokú verejnosť, časť programu je tiež venovaná deťom. Do Medzinárodného dňa rysov sa tento rok zapojí minimálne 7 európskych krajín, vysvetľuje koordinátorka projektu 3Lynx Simona Poláková z Ministerstva životného prostredia.

Rys ostrovid je naša najväčšia mačacia šelma. V Českej republike, Nemecku aj Rakúsku patrí medzi prísne chránené ohrozené druhy, chráni ho samotné členské krajiny aj európska legislatíva. Česko-bavorsko-rakúska rysia populácia sa pohybuje na rozmedzí týchto troch štátov a obýva tak rozsiahle územie od Dunaja na juhu až po Brdy, Český les na severe a časť Vysočiny. Pre svoju nízku početnosť a izolovanosť od ostatných rysích populácií je považovaná za vysoko ohrozenú. Rys je však ohrozený aj inde, napríklad v Alpách, v Dinárskom krase. Preto si rys zaslúži našu pozornosť.

Víkend otevřených zahrad je akce, která otevírá běžně nepřístupné zahrady a parky a přináší novou dimenzi poznání zahradního umění. Projekt se koná v celé Evropě a v České republice se do něj zapojují jak veřejné, tak soukromé zahrady. Cílem akce je zvýšit informovanost a povědomí lidí o zahradním umění a představit jednotlivé objekty s jejich příběhy a tajemstvím. Vstupné do zahrad záleží na majitelích a slouží často k pokrytí nákladů na doprovodný program. V rámci akce se konají komentované prohlídky, koncerty a divadelní představení. Der Parkführer in Zusammenarbeit mit der Gesellschaft für Garten- und Landschaftsgestaltung und dem Nationalen Denkmalinstitut organisiert bereits zum 13. Mal das Wochenende der offenen Gärten vom 10. bis 12. Juni 2023. Das Wochenende der offenen Gärten öffnet normalerweise unzugängliche Gärten und bietet anderen eine neue Dimension des Wissens und außergewöhnliche Erlebnisse. Das Projekt gewinnt in ganz Europa an Bedeutung und wird zu einem der wichtigsten Vermittler von Wissen über Gartenkunst. In Tschechien beteiligen sich sowohl normalerweise unzugängliche Gärten als auch Parks und öffentliche Räume, die wir der Öffentlichkeit auf andere Weise vorstellen möchten. Üblicherweise werden kommentierte Führungen mit weiterem kulturellen Programm angeboten. Das Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, das Wissen und das Bewusstsein der Menschen für Gartenkunst, Gartenarchitektur, Parks, Gärten und öffentliche Räume zu erhöhen, einzelne Objekte mit ihren Geschichten und Geheimnissen vorzustellen und den Menschen ein Erlebnis des Wissens zu vermitteln. Das Wochenende der offenen Gärten richtet sich an öffentliche und private Gärten und Parks, die etwas Interessantes bieten können, wie ökologischen Ansatz, außergewöhnliches Design, dendrologische Sammlung oder historische Bedeutung. Jeder kann sich an der Veranstaltung beteiligen, von Schloss- und öffentlichen Gärten und Parks, Plätzen, historischen Friedhöfen, Klöstern, Arboreten und botanischen Gärten über Gemeinschafts- und Naturgärten, Blumenfarmen und Obstgärten bis hin zu Künstlergärten. Das Wochenende der offenen Gärten ist nicht kostenlos, da in Tschechien nicht so viele zugängliche Gärten vorhanden sind wie in England. Daher versuchen wir, den Menschen während des Wochenendes ein außergewöhnliches Programm mit kommentierten Führungen, Konzerten, Theater usw. anzubieten. Die Eintrittspreise hängen von den Eigentümern ab und dienen oft zur Deckung der Kosten für das Begleitprogramm. Der Nationale Denkmalinstitut nimmt mit einer Reihe seiner Objekte teil. The Open Gardens Weekend, organized by Průvodce parkem os in collaboration with the Society for Garden and Landscape Creation and the National Heritage Institute, is back for its 13th edition. The event aims to increase awareness and knowledge about garden art, landscape architecture, parks, and public spaces. It offers the opportunity to explore normally inaccessible gardens and provides a unique experience of discovery. Both public and private gardens and parks can participate, showcasing interesting features such as ecological approaches, unusual designs, historical significance, or intriguing stories. The event includes guided tours and cultural programs. Admission fees vary depending on the venue and are often used to cover the costs of accompanying activities. The National Heritage Institute will participate with several of its sites, and a wide range of gardens, including natural and community gardens, arboretums, and monastery gardens, will be open to the public. Do akcie sa môžu zapojiť verejné aj súkromné záhrady a parky, ktoré ponúkajú niečo zaujímavé. Vstupné do záhrad závisí na majiteľoch a slúži na pokrytie nákladov na sprievodný program. Mezinárodní den STOP přepravě zvířat, který se koná 14. června, připomíná tragédii, kdy v roce 2015 zahynulo při přepravě živých zvířat 13 000 ovcí. České organizace se letos připojily k tomuto dni a vyzývají ministra zemědělství Zdeňka Nekulu, aby podpořil přísnější legislativu EU na ochranu zvířat během přepravy. Zveřejněné záběry ukazují otřesné podmínky, ve kterých jsou živá zvířata vyvážena z Evropy. Lidé z celé Evropy posílají digitální pohlednice ministrům zemědělství EU, včetně Zdeňka Nekuly, a vyzývají je k podpoře zákazu krutého obchodu s živými zvířaty. Každý rok jsou miliony zvířat přepravovány na tisíce kilometrů, přičemž trpí stresu, vyčerpání, přehřátí a zranění. Některá zvířata jsou převážena ve stísněných podmínkách bez dostatku krmiva a vody a na konci cesty je čeká brutální porážka. Francie, Řecko, Irsko a další země se postavily proti přepravě živých zvířat, a některé země již zakázaly vývoz živých zvířat na porážku do zemí mimo EU. Také Nový Zéland, Austrálie a Brazílie omezují export živých zvířat. Evropská komise navrhuje zlepšení pravidel přepravy a zákaz vývozu živých zvířat, což podporuje 94 % evropských občanů.

Am 14. Juni wurde der Internationale Tag zur Beendigung des Tiertransports als Gedenken an die Tragödie des Transports lebender Tiere gewählt, bei dem am selben Tag im Jahr 2015 während einer langen Seereise von Rumänien nach Somalia 13.000 Schafe qualvoll starben. Während der Reise starben Tausende von Schafen an Dehydrierung, Hunger und Erschöpfung. Tschechische Organisationen wie Hlas zvířat, NESEHNUTÍ, OBRAZ, ONE HEART, Plicka & Partners und Svoboda zvířat schlossen sich dem diesjährigen Internationalen Tag zur Beendigung des Tiertransports an. Tschechische Bürger fordern den Landwirtschaftsminister Zdeněk Nekula auf, strengere EU-Gesetze zum Schutz von Tieren während des Transports zu unterstützen, einschließlich eines Verbots der grausamen Ausfuhr lebender Tiere in Länder außerhalb der EU. Menschen aus ganz Europa senden digitale Postkarten an 14 Landwirtschaftsminister der EU, einschließlich Zdeněk Nekula, im Namen von Millionen von Tieren, die während des Langstreckentransports außerhalb der EU leiden, und fordern sie auf, dieses grausame Geschäft zu verbieten. Bulgarien, Tschechien, Estland, Kroatien, Ungarn, Italien und Polen haben sich ihnen seitdem angeschlossen. Deutschland und Luxemburg haben bereits den Export lebender Tiere zur Schlachtung in Länder außerhalb der EU verboten und unterstützen zusammen mit den Niederlanden, Schweden, Belgien und Dänemark ein Verbot dieser grausamen und unnötigen Praxis in der gesamten EU. Several countries, including Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, and Denmark, have already banned the export of live animals for slaughter outside the EU and support a ban on this cruel practice in the entire EU. Other countries, such as New Zealand and Australia, have also implemented restrictions on the export of live animals. A recent report by the European Court of Auditors concluded that transport is always a source of stress for animals and that profit is the driving force behind the trade. The European Commission is proposing significant improvements to current animal welfare rules, including a ban on the export of live animals, which is supported by 94% of European citizens. It is crucial for EU agriculture ministers to listen to their citizens and not succumb to powerful agricultural lobbies that prioritize profit. The aim is to end this cruel and unnecessary trade in live animals.
