The International Day of Education, celebrated on January 24th, highlights the importance of education for sustainable development. As part of this day, the EKOkalendář project, created by the organization Ukliďme Česko, promotes more than 150 international environmental holidays and awareness days. These holidays serve as an opportunity to educate and inspire individuals to protect the environment and natural resources for future generations. The EKOkalendář also includes 365 EKOtips, providing practical suggestions for individuals to make a positive impact on the environment. In collaboration with ÁMOS vision, over 300 schools in the Czech Republic have incorporated the EKOkalendář into their educational programs, allowing students to gain knowledge and skills related to sustainable development and global citizenship. This initiative aims to support the goals of the United Nations' Agenda for Sustainable Development 2030, which recognizes the crucial role of education in achieving a peaceful and sustainable world.
