World Recycling Day
World Recycling Day falls on March 18 and premiered in 2018. It is announced by the London-based company The Global Recycling Foundation, which wants to highlight the important role that recycling plays for our planet.
The patron of World Recycling Day is GREEN Logistics CZ s.r.o. - the operator of take-back points for end-of-life tyres/car batteries or accumulators, where the end user can drop off waste tires/car batteries or accumulators free of charge, regardless of the make or date their introduction to the market, without being tied to the purchase of a new tyre/car battery or accumulator and without the right to payment for this collection.
Although recycling does not directly protect the environment, it does prevent its damage. Recycling saves resources, reduces energy consumption, emissions, and water usage in the production of new items. Therefore, recycling is key to a better future for our planet and humanity as a whole.
