To Work by Bike in
The whole of May on a bike, scooter, on foot or at a trot - that is, sustainably and actively. Sign up with your colleagues, the whole company or on your own in the Bike to work challenge, which has been organized by the AutoMat association for 11 years, and support your own fitness and the development of cycling and pedestrian infrastructure.
The challenge, which takes place from May 1st to May 31st, is aimed at teams of colleagues, friends, and families, but individuals who plan to travel predominantly actively and sustainably without a motor are also welcome to participate. The goal is to change transportation habits and show participants that active and sustainable transportation, such as walking or cycling, is not only possible but also enjoyable. The majority of participants continue to use active transportation even after the challenge ends. Participants pay an entry fee, and companies have the option to designate a company coordinator to communicate the challenge to employees. The challenge aims to motivate individuals and their surroundings to engage in regular physical activity and support healthier cities and the planet. The goal is to surpass last year's record of 24,700 participants. Registration for the May challenge in 2023 is open, and there is a separate challenge for students called "To School by Bike".
