September – the month of organic food and organic farming
Every year, the Ministry of Agriculture declares September the Month of Organic Food and Organic Agriculture. An awareness and information campaign aimed at supporting organic farming and organic food in the Czech Republic has been organized since 2005.
The main goal of the campaign is to inform the public about the benefits of buying organic food and supporting organic farming in the Czech Republic, as well as to show where they can buy organic food. Throughout the month of September, a series of regional events will take place to promote organic food and farming, including farmers markets, open farm days, and tours of organic farms. The campaign also includes a competition for the best Czech organic food, organized by PROBIO, the Association of Organic Farmers.
