Hlavním cílem kampaně je přiblížit veřejnosti důvody proč je dobré a logické kupovat biopotraviny a podporovat tím ekologické zemědělství v ČR a rovněž ukázat kde si biopotraviny mohou koupit. V průběhu září se uskuteční řada regionálních akcí na podporu biopotravin a ekologického zemědělství, jako jsou biojarmarky, biodožínky, dny otevřených vrátek na biofarmách a exkurze do výroby. Veřejnost tak může navštívit české ekofarmy, ochutnat biopotraviny přímo ze dvora a seznámit se s principy ekologické produkce. V rámci kampaně se také vyhlašuje soutěž Česká biopotravina. Biopotraviny poznáte podle zelené biozebry státní značky, která zaručuje splnění požadavků legislativy ekologické produkce. ECOBAT také provádí osvětu a vzdělávání veřejnosti a dětí v oblasti odpovědného nakládání s bateriemi. Společnost zajišťuje osvětovou kampaň ECOCHEESE a prostřednictvím nového webu nabízí vzdělávací videa a kurzy. Recyklace baterií je prospěšná pro životní prostředí, protože umožňuje získat zpět cenné kovy a zamezit uvolňování škodlivých látek. Odevzdání baterií k recyklaci je snadné, protože je k dispozici více než 28 000 sběrných míst po celé ČR. Kromě Evropského týdne recyklace baterií existuje také EKOkalendář, který informuje o dalších dnech a svátcích týkajících se životního prostředí. ECOBAT je nezisková organizace, která má oprávnění od Ministerstva životního prostředí k provozování kolektivního systému pro zpětný odběr odpadních baterií v ČR.

Die Sammlung und das Recycling von Batterien sind gut für die Umwelt. Aus hundert Kilogramm gebrauchten Batterien können wir durch Recycling mindestens 74 Kilogramm Edelmetalle oder deren Legierungen gewinnen. Bei Bleistiftbatterien handelt es sich hauptsächlich um Eisen und Mangan, bei anderen Batterietypen auch um Kobalt, Nickel, Kupfer oder Silber. Durch ihre Wiederverwendung schützen wir die Natur vor unnötigem Abbau von mineralischen Rohstoffen. Gleichzeitig verhindern wir die Freisetzung schädlicher Substanzen aus Batterien, einschließlich Schwermetallen, die die Luft, den Boden und das Grund- und Oberflächenwasser

The European Battery Recycling Week in the Czech Republic is sponsored by ECOBAT, the only collective system that organizes the collection and recycling of all types of waste batteries. ECOBAT also actively participates in educating children and the general public about responsible battery disposal. They provide educational programs, collaborate with local authorities, and distribute collection boxes for household batteries. ECOBAT is expanding its educational activities through the ECOBAT Academy, offering courses on proper battery handling. Recycling batteries is beneficial for the environment as it allows for the recovery of valuable metals and prevents the release of harmful substances. It is easy to recycle batteries in the Czech Republic, as there are over 28,000 collection points available. ECOBAT also promotes other environmental events and provides an ECO calendar with tips for everyday eco-friendly actions. ECOBAT is a non-profit organization that has been providing comprehensive battery recycling services for 20 years and is involved in national and European associations related to battery collection and recycling.

Patrónom Európskeho týždňa recyklácie batérií v ČR je ECOBAT, ktorý je jediným kolektívnym systémom, ktorý organizuje zber všetkých odpadových batérií od monočlánkov cez batérie z elektrobicyklov, AKU náradia alebo fotovoltaických systémov až po autobatérie a batérie z elektromobilov. Zabezpečuje tiež proces ich triedenia a následnej recyklácie. Odpadové batérie je možné odovzdať na viac ako 28 000 zbernomiestach po celej Českej republike.

Charity mají různé podoby, ale vždy mají za cíl pomoci lidem v nouzi. Lidé mohou pomáhat formou darů nebo dobrovolnické práce. Projekt EKOkalendář nabízí mapu charitních obchůdků, kam lze nosit nepotřebné věci, které mohou pomoci jiným. Mezinárodní den charity má připomenout lidem, že i malá pomoc může mít velký význam pro ty, kteří ji potřebují.

Zum Gedenken an eine sehr bedeutende humanitäre Mitarbeiterin starb Mutter Teresa an diesem Tag im Jahr 1997, die während ihres Lebens viele Auszeichnungen für humanitäre Hilfe erhielt und sogar seliggesprochen wurde. Wohltätigkeit hat viele Formen, aber immer das Ziel, anderen zu helfen. Es handelt sich um wohltätige Aktionen zur Unterstützung von alten Menschen, Kindern, sozial Schwachen oder Kranken. Wohltätigkeit erfolgt in Form von verschiedenen Geschenken, sei es Geld oder Sachleistungen oder zum Beispiel in Form von unbezahlter Arbeit. Der internationale Tag der Wohltätigkeit soll die Menschen dazu bringen, darüber nachzudenken, ob auch sie denjenigen helfen könnten, die es brauchen. Jede Hilfe für andere hat oft eine unschätzbare Wirkung.

Charity takes many forms and always aims to help others, whether it is through monetary or material donations or through volunteer work. On the website of the project "Kam s ním" (Where to Take It), you can find a map with charity organizations and shops where you can donate usable items such as clothing, food, books, and household items. International Charity Day is meant to make people reflect on how they can help those in need. Any kind of help to others can have an invaluable impact.

Es ist dringend erforderlich, das Bewusstsein der Öffentlichkeit weltweit für die Situation dieser bedrohten Vögel und die Notwendigkeit des Schutzes und der Erforschung von Küstenvögeln zu erhöhen. Gesunde Populationen von Küstenvögeln hängen von gesunden Lebensräumen ab. Die Zerstörung von Lebensräumen, das Töten von Zugvögeln, globale Klimaprobleme, Unwissenheit der Öffentlichkeit und viele andere Faktoren führen zu rückläufigen Trends bei den meisten Küstenvogelpopulationen. Es ist mehr denn je dringend erforderlich, weltweit Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, um Menschen und Küstenvögel miteinander zu verbinden. Der World Shorebirds Day wurde mit folgenden Zielen ins Leben gerufen: das Bewusstsein für die Notwendigkeit des Schutzes von Küstenvögeln und ihren Lebensräumen während ihres Lebenszyklus zu erhöhen, das Bewusstsein der Öffentlichkeit für die Notwendigkeit fortlaufender Forschung, Überwachung und Schutz von Küstenvögeln zu erhöhen und Menschen mit Küstenvögeln durch Feuchtgebiete auf der ganzen Welt zu verbinden. There is an urgent need to raise awareness about the situation of these endangered birds and the need for their protection and research. Healthy shorebird populations depend on healthy habitats, but habitat destruction, killing of migratory shorebirds, global climate issues, public ignorance, and many other factors are causing declining trends in most shorebird populations. There is a pressing need for global action that will help connect people and shorebirds. The World Shorebirds Day was created with the goals of raising awareness about the need to protect shorebirds and their habitats throughout their life cycle, increasing public awareness about the need for ongoing research, monitoring, and protection of shorebirds, and connecting people with shorebirds through wetlands around the world. Mezinárodní den čistého ovzduší za modrou oblohu je zaměřen na zvýšení povědomí o významu čistého ovzduší pro zdraví, ekonomiku a životní prostředí. Cílem je také propojit různé aktéry a hledat efektivní řešení pro zlepšení kvality ovzduší. Společnost DPD se stala patronem tohoto dne díky své práci na lepším životním prostředí, včetně uhlíkově neutrální přepravy. Projekt měření kvality ovzduší v Praze je dalším příkladem snahy o zlepšení situace. DPD je také zapojeno do dobrovolnické akce Ukliďme Česko a je patronem projektu EKOkalendář, který se zaměřuje na ochranu životního prostředí. V EKOkalendáři najdete také dalších 230 dnů a svátků týkajících se životního prostředí.

Das Ziel dieses internationalen Tages ist vor allem, das Bewusstsein für den Austausch von Wissen zu erhöhen sowie effektive Lösungen durch die Vernetzung verschiedener Akteure auf nationaler, internationaler und globaler Ebene zu suchen und zu fördern. Es geht darum, das Bewusstsein für die Bedeutung sauberer Luft für Gesundheit, Produktivität, Wirtschaft und Umwelt zu erhöhen, den engen Zusammenhang zwischen Luftqualität und anderen Umwelt- und Entwicklungsproblemen wie dem Klimawandel aufzuzeigen, Lösungen zu fördern, die die Luftqualität verbessern, indem sie nutzbares Wissen, bewährte Verfahren, Innovationen und erfolgreiche Beispiele teilen, und verschiedene Akteure für gemeinsame nationale, regionale und internationale Ansätze zur effektiven Luftqualitätssteuerung zu verbinden.

Der diesjährige Schirmherr des Internationalen Tages für saubere Luft unter blauem Himmel ist das Unternehmen DPD, Teil des größten Paketversandsystems in Europa, Geopost. Der Grund, warum DPD Schirmherr geworden ist, ist seine langjährige und intensive Arbeit für eine bessere Umwelt, insbesondere durch kohlenstoffneutrale Transporte. Bis 2025 werden in Prag und Ostrava alle DPD-Fahrzeuge nur noch emissionsarm sein und durch Fahrrad- und Fußkurier ergänzt werden. Das Unternehmen ist auch der erste globale Transporteur mit wissenschaftlich bestätigten Emissionsreduktionszielen von der führenden unabhängigen wissenschaftlichen Plattform SBTi.

Wir sind sehr froh, dass wir Schirmherr dieses Tages geworden sind, denn die Verbesserung der Luftqualität ist eine unserer Hauptprioritäten. Wir arbeiten kontinuierlich daran, unseren Transport so umweltfreundlich wie möglich zu gestalten, nicht nur medial. Wir versuchen auch, die Öffentlichkeit zu informieren, und deshalb ist ein Teil unserer Kommunikation auch der Aufruf zur Beendigung des Greenwashings und zur Unterstützung der Menschen bei der Erkennung desselben. Der Projekt zur Verbesserung der Luftqualität ist das Monitoring-Projekt. Seit über 2 Jahren fahren täglich 90 DPD-Fahrzeuge mit speziellen Überwachungsgeräten durch Prag. Jeder Prager kann auf dieser Website überprüfen, wie es um die einzelnen Straßen steht. Die Geräte sind auch an mehreren Dutzend Gebäuden installiert. The aim of this international day is to increase awareness of the importance of clean air for health, productivity, the economy, and the environment. It also aims to show the close connection between air quality and other environmental and development challenges, such as climate change. The day supports solutions that improve air quality through the sharing of knowledge, best practices, innovations, and successful examples. It brings together various stakeholders for effective air quality management at national, regional, and international levels.

The company DPD, part of the largest parcel delivery network in Europe, Geopost, has become the patron of this year's International Day of Clean Air for blue skies. DPD has been recognized for its long-term and intensive work on environmental improvement, particularly through carbon-neutral transport. By 2025, all DPD vehicles in Prague and Ostrava will be low-emission, supplemented by cycling and walking couriers. DPD is also the first global carrier with scientifically confirmed emission reduction targets from the leading independent scientific platform SBTi.

DPD is pleased to be the patron of this day as improving air quality is one of its main priorities. The company has been working on making its transport as environmentally friendly as possible, not just in terms of media coverage. DPD also aims to educate the public and is part of its communication strategy to raise awareness about greenwashing and help people recognize it. DPD is open to collaboration with other companies and municipalities.

The project of measuring air quality is directly related to improving air quality. For over 2 years, 90 DPD delivery vans with special monitoring devices have been driving through Prague every day. Every Prague resident can check the air quality on different streets on a dedicated website. The devices are also installed on several dozen buildings. The project has been recognized in a sustainability ranking.

In addition to its long-term collaboration with the volunteer action "Clean Czechia," where DPD is the main transportation partner, DPD has also become the patron of the International Day of Clean Air as part of their new project, EKOkalendar.cz. Their air monitoring web application is a great example of how even large companies can actively contribute to environmental protection and corporate social responsibility.

Apart from the International Day of Clean Air, the EKOkalendar by the organization "Clean Czechia" includes more than 230 other environmental days and holidays, along with detailed information about them. Podporuje riešenia, ktoré zlepšujú kvalitu ovzdušia a spája rôzne aktéry pre efektívne riadenie kvality ovzdušia. Patronom tohto dňa sa stala spoločnosť DPD, ktorá sa zaviazala k uhlíkovo neutrálnej preprave a redukcii emisií. Kakao je důležitou surovinou na světovém trhu, ale příjmy drobných pěstitelů nestačí na živobytí. V západní Africe je rozšířená dětská práce. Zakoupením čokolády s označením Fairtrade programu pro kakao přispějete ke zlepšení podmínek pěstitelů a ochraně životního prostředí. Pěstování kakaa je hlavním zdrojem příjmů pro miliony pěstitelů, ale rodiny často žijí v chudobě. Kakaovníky jsou náchylné ke škůdcům a chorobám, což ovlivňuje produkci. Mladí lidé nevidí v pěstování kakaa budoucnost a odcházejí do měst. Nadnárodní koncerny mají vliv na obchod s kakaem a ceny často kolísají. V České republice je dostupná široká škála fairtradových čokoládových výrobků, které jsou stále populárnější. Většina pěstitelů kakaa nikdy neochutnala čokoládu, ale farmáři s fairtradovou certifikací vlastní čokoládovny. Čtvrtina fairtradových pěstitelů kakaa jsou ženy.

Kakao gehört neben Öl und Kaffee zu den wichtigsten Rohstoffen auf dem Weltmarkt und zeichnet sich durch Preisschwankungen aus. Trotz der steigenden Nachfrage reichen die Einkommen der Kleinbauern nicht aus, um ihre Familien zu ernähren. Vor allem in Westafrika ist Kinderarbeit verbreitet. Der Kauf von Schokolade und anderen Kakaoprodukten mit dem FAIRTRADE-Siegel trägt wesentlich zur Verbesserung der Lebens- und Arbeitsbedingungen der Kakaobauern und ihrer Familien in den Ländern des globalen Südens bei und fördert den Umweltschutz. Der Anbau von Kakao ist die Haupteinnahmequelle für über 55 Millionen Bauern im globalen Süden und sichert den Lebensunterhalt von über 14 Millionen Menschen. In den Hauptanbaugebieten in Westafrika bauen 90% der Kleinbauern auf Plantagen von weniger als 5 Hektar Kakao an. Die häufigsten Probleme beim Kakaoanbau sind die niedrigen Einkommen der Familien, Kinderarbeit, alternde Kakao-Bäume, der Einfluss multinationaler Konzerne und die Preisschwankungen auf dem Weltmarkt.

Cocoa is one of the most important commodities on the global market, but small-scale cocoa farmers struggle to make a living. Child labor is prevalent in cocoa-producing regions, particularly in West Africa. By purchasing chocolate and other cocoa products with the FAIRTRADE label, consumers can significantly improve the living and working conditions of cocoa farmers in developing countries and support environmental protection. Cocoa cultivation is the main source of income for over 55 million farmers in the Global South, providing livelihoods for over 14 million people. However, these farmers face numerous challenges, including low incomes, child labor, aging cocoa trees, declining production, youth migration to urban slums, and the increasing influence of multinational corporations. Fairtrade chocolate is available in the Czech Republic, with a growing demand for Fairtrade cocoa. Most cocoa farmers have never tasted chocolate, but Fairtrade-certified farmers in Ghana own 44 chocolate factories, making Divine Chocolate one of the largest and most well-known British chocolate producers. A quarter of Fairtrade cocoa farmers are women.

Koalice Za snadné dárcovství vyhlašuje Měsíc dobročinné závěti, který probíhá od 13. září do 13. října 2023. Cílem je upozornit na možnost konání dobrých skutků prostřednictvím dobročinné závěti. Dárcům, kteří ve své závěti pamatují na dobročinnou organizaci, bude proplacen notářský poplatek za sepsání závěti. Češi jsou podle průzkumů štědrým národem a čím dál více se otevírají i méně obvyklým cestám podpory dobročinnosti, jako jsou právě závěti. Česká společnost ornitologická má již zkušenosti s dary ze závěti a vděčí za ně důležitou finanční rezervu, která byla klíčová během pandemie. Die Koalition "Für einfache Spenden" gibt anlässlich des Internationalen Testaments-Tages jedes Jahr den Monat des wohltätigen Testaments bekannt. In der Zeit vom 13. September bis 13. Oktober 2023 erstattet die Stiftung Via den Spendern, die in ihrem letzten Willen an eine wohltätige Organisation, die ihnen am Herzen liegt, den Notargebühren für die Erstellung des Testaments berücksichtigen, die Notargebühren. The Coalition for Easy Donation, with the financial support of the Via Foundation on the occasion of International Will Day, annually announces the Month of Charitable Wills. From September 13 to October 13, 2023, donors who remember the charitable organization close to their hearts in their last will and testament will have their notary fees reimbursed. The goal is to raise awareness that through charitable wills, good deeds can be done both during and after life. Money, real estate, securities, and any small gift counts.

Surveys repeatedly show that Czechs are a generous nation. For example, according to the latest World Giving Index for 2021, philanthropy in the Czech Republic ranked a very respectable 13th out of 119 countries surveyed. In 2021, we were even the fastest-growing annual donors. However, Czech giving is not only growing in one-time aid during crises, such as the tornado in 2021 or last year's phenomenal solidarity with Ukraine. Our latest survey shows that people in the Czech Republic are gradually becoming more open to less common ways of supporting charity, such as wills, says Jan Gregor from the Coalition for Easy Donation.

Lucie Hošková, Head of Public Relations at the Czech Society for Ornithology, adds that the Czech Society for Ornithology (CSO) already has experience with bequests. We gratefully remember Mrs. Eugenia Venzarová, a CSO member and a great bird lover. Mrs. Venzarová was a very cultured and well-traveled woman, but her greatest love was birds. Therefore, she bequeathed half of her savings to the CSO in her will. This generous act provided the CSO with an important financial reserve, which proved crucial during the COVID pandemic and the related economic crisis. Mrs. Venzarová was not the only one who remembered birds in her will through the CSO. We deeply appreciate other CSO supporters who we know also think of bird conservation in their wills, and we are very pleased that they see a deep meaning in the work of the CSO that they want to help fulfill with their legacy.

Evropský týden mobility (ETM) je každoroční kampaní Evropské komise, která se koná v termínu 16.-22. září. Cílem kampaně je zvýšit povědomí občanů o udržitelné mobilitě a hledat řešení šetrná ke klimatu a životnímu prostředí. Do ETM se zapojují obce, občané, iniciativy a neziskové organizace, které pořádají různé aktivity na podporu veřejné dopravy, chůze, cyklistiky a dalších forem udržitelné mobility. Mezinárodní den bez aut, který připadá na 22. září, je tradičním vyvrcholením ETM. V tento den obce otevírají ulice lidem a omezují vjezd motorovým vozidlům. Dopravní podniky se také zapojují do aktivit na podporu ETM, například nabízejí jízdné zdarma a pořádají dny otevřených dveří.

It is slightly larger than a domestic cat, has reddish-brown fur, and a long tail that helps it maintain balance in trees. There are two recognized subspecies of red panda: the Chinese red panda and the Himalayan red panda, which have different population histories. Red pandas live in mountainous forests in southern China, Nepal, Bhutan, India, and Myanmar, and primarily feed on bamboo. They are solitary animals and are active mainly at dawn and dusk. The female gives birth to about 1-2 cubs after a gestation period of 3-4 months and takes care of them for about a year. The red panda is classified as an endangered species due to habitat loss and fragmentation, as well as occasional hunting for fur. They are popularly kept in zoos for their appearance and lower maintenance compared to giant pandas. In Europe, they are bred in approximately 170 zoos, including several zoos in the Czech Republic.

Panda červená je menší stromová šelma, která je jediným zástupcem čeledi pandy malé. Existují dva poddruhy červené pandy - čínská a himálajská panda červená. Pandě červené se daří přežít v horských lesích jižní Číny, Nepálu, Bhútánu, Indii a Myanmaru. Její potravu tvoří převážně bambus, ale občas si zpestří jídelníček bobulemi, vejci nebo menšími zvířaty. Panda červená je samotářské zvíře, které je aktivní hlavně za úsvitu a soumraku. Samice rodí obvykle 1 až 2 mláďata, která jsou při narození bezmocná a matka se o ně stará zhruba rok. Panda červená je ohrožený druh, žije v přírodě asi jen 16 000-20 000 jedinců. Její hlavními hrozbami jsou ztráta přirozeného prostředí a lov pro kožešinu. Pandy červené jsou populární v zoologických zahradách, kde jsou chovány pro svůj vzhled a menší náročnost než panda velká. V Česku je lze vidět ve více než polovině zoologických zahrad, například v Zoo Praha, Zoo Brno, Zoo Liberec a dalších.

Manty jsou velké mořské živočichy, které se vyskytují v tropických a subtropických oceánech. Existují dva druhy mant - útesové manty a oceánské manty. Útesové manty se zdržují v mělkých vodách u pobřeží, zatímco oceánské manty jsou přechodnými návštěvníky otevřeného oceánu. Manty se živí mikroskopickými zvířaty a jejich pohyby jsou ovlivněny přílivem a odlivem oceánských proudů. Manty mají jedinečné vzory na břiše, které lze použít k jejich identifikaci. Mantas kommen in den tropischen und subtropischen Ozeanen der Welt vor und jede Art bleibt ihrem Namensvetter treu. Riffmantas verbringen ihr Leben hauptsächlich in bestimmten Riffbiotopen in flachen oder küstennahen Gebieten, während Ozeanmantas viel wandernde Besucher sind, die über offenen Ozean reisen. Diese Tiere hören nie auf sich zu bewegen, da sie den Wasserfluss über ihre Kiemen aufrechterhalten müssen, um atmen zu können. Ihre täglichen und saisonalen Bewegungen sind auf die Gezeiten und Meeresströmungen abgestimmt, die Plankton tragen, von dem sie abhängig sind.

- Trotz ihrer riesigen Größe ernähren sich Mantas von mikroskopischen Tieren namens Zooplankton.

She found Rhishj's blog while searching for ideas and potential collaborators online. Lisa Jane sent Rhishj an email, and they both realized they shared the goal of making World Rhino Day a day of celebration for all five rhino species. In the following months, they worked together to make World Rhino Day 2011 an international success both online and offline. Since then, World Rhino Day has become a global phenomenon, bringing together NGOs, zoos, related organizations, businesses, and individuals from almost all corners of the world.

Rhinos are illegally hunted for their horns in many countries. Crushed horn, or rhino horn powder, is used in some traditional medicines and aphrodisiacs, such as in traditional Chinese medicine. However, China has officially committed to nature conservation according to CITES. In other countries, rhino horns are carved into handles for traditional knives and daggers. While the necessity of hunting rhinos is universally rejected as outdated and barbaric, popular practices still pose a threat to them.

So today is the day to embrace these brave souls who are working to save our animal friends. It is time to recognize and thank them for the animal lives they are saving and for the way their diet helps protect the environment of the planet. To celebrate Hug and Vegetarian Day, embrace a vegetarian. If you have a friend or family member who is a vegetarian, hug them and show them your appreciation. Ask them how you can support them or take them to a vegetarian restaurant for lunch to show them how much you value them. For those who are not ready to commit to a full vegetarian lifestyle, you can still enjoy it for a day to see what it's like. Plan three meals for the day that do not include meat, or if you want to become a vegan, which is even healthier, eliminate all dairy products, eggs, or other foods that may contain animal by-products. For many people, not eating meat is not as difficult as it may seem. Just remember to replace that meat with protein from other sources such as beans, legumes, soy, grains, nuts, seeds, vegetables, and more. Watch a vegetarian documentary to educate yourself on this important issue. Try these documentary films for more information and understanding: "Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret" (2014), which reveals hidden facts about the animal industry, its connection to climate destruction, and what can be done about it; "Earthlings" (2005), hosted by American actor Joaquin Phoenix, which exposes the basic economic benefits and dependence that people have on animals, as well as some graphic information about how poorly these animals are treated; and "Forks Over Knives" (2011), which explores the idea that most degenerative diseases can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.

Ekologické zemědělství přináší výhody pro klima a biodiverzitu, například snižuje emise skleníkových plynů a zvyšuje sekvestraci uhlíku v půdě. Tento systém také spotřebovává méně energie a minimalizuje ztráty dusíku. Ekologické hospodaření také zlepšuje kvalitu půdy a zvyšuje její úrodnost.

Der Europäische Tag der ökologischen Landwirtschaft wurde von drei wichtigen EU-Institutionen, dem Europäischen Parlament, dem Rat der Europäischen Union und der Europäischen Kommission, ausgerufen. Ziel ist es, das Bewusstsein für ökologische Produktion in der Europäischen Union zu erhöhen. Die Europäische Kommission vergibt auch jährlich Preise für ökologische Ansätze als Anerkennung für Exzellenz in allen Phasen der ökologischen Lebensmittelkette. Im Rahmen der Feierlichkeiten werden auch in diesem Jahr die besten und innovativsten Akteure mit den Europäischen Preisen für ökologische Landwirtschaft ausgezeichnet. Die Preisverleihung findet am 25. September 2023 statt. Die Europäische Kommission wird auch die Entwicklung von Netzwerken für nachhaltigen Ökotourismus durch Bioregionen unterstützen. Bioregionen sind Gebiete, in denen Landwirte, Bürger, Tourismusbetreiber, Verbände und öffentliche Organe zusammenarbeiten, um lokale Ressourcen auf der Grundlage ökologischer Prinzipien und Verfahren nachhaltig zu bewirtschaften. The European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, and the European Commission have declared September 23 as the European Day of Organic Farming to raise awareness about organic production in the European Union. The Commission also annually awards prizes for organic approaches as recognition of excellence in all stages of the organic food chain. The awards ceremony will take place on September 25, 2023. The European Commission will also support the development of organic tourism networks through bioregions, where farmers, citizens, tourism operators, associations, and public authorities will collaborate on sustainable management of local resources based on ecological principles and practices. The President of IFOAM Organics Europe, Jan Plagge, stated that the European Day of Organic Farming will be an ideal opportunity to assess Europe's progress in achieving the goal of 25% organically managed land by 2030, shaping consumer demand trends, raising awareness about organic farming throughout the supply chain, and implementing activities of the European Action Plan for Organic Farming.

Organic farming brings several benefits for climate and biodiversity, as highlighted in a document on the benefits of organic farming published by the IFOAM OE organization. Changing the way food is produced can have a significant impact on mitigating climate change, helping farmers adapt, and contributing to biodiversity protection. Organic farming offers a systemic approach to increasing carbon sequestration in soil while maintaining healthy soil and protecting biodiversity. Organic farming consumes less energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

By relying on closed nutrient cycles and minimizing nitrogen losses, organic farming can reduce global greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture by approximately 20%. Abandoning the use of synthetic fertilizers reduces nitrous oxide emissions from soil by 40% per hectare in organic production systems. Animals in organic farming have access to pasture and open spaces, and 60% of their feed must come from the farm or the same region. Thanks to the reduced number of animals and the pasture-based organic farming system, emissions are reduced, and carbon stocks in the soil improve. Organic farming often utilizes better manure management, such as composting, which can reduce nitrous oxide emissions by 50% and methane emissions by 70%. Organic farming has higher energy efficiency and lower energy consumption per hectare, consuming approximately 15% less energy per unit of production compared to conventional farming.

Organic farming sequesters more carbon. Many common practices of organic farming, such as crop rotation including legumes or limited soil tillage, help improve soil quality and fertility and significantly contribute to increased carbon sequestration of an additional 450 kg C/ha per year compared to conventionally managed soil.

Medzinárodný deň králikov bol zavedený na ocenenie prínosu a hodnoty, ktorú králiky prinášajú do našich životov. Je tiež dôležitý pre podporu dobrých životných podmienok králikov a vytváranie zdravého prostredia pre ne. Králiky majú komplikované sociálne štruktúry, sú teritoriálne a sociálne zvieratá. Vrcholem jejich snahy je celorepublikový Den za obnovu lesa, který se koná v sobotu 23. září 2023. The highlight of our efforts will be the nationwide Forest Renewal Day, which will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 10 am to 4 pm in each region. Během roku se koná několik akcí na čerstvém vzduchu, které mají za cíl obnovu českých a moravských lesů. V rámci těchto akcí je možné se zapojit a pomoci. Významnou událostí je celorepublikový Den za obnovu lesa, který se koná 23. září 2023 v každém regionu. Na webu Sázíme lesy nové generace je možné najít veškeré informace o této akci. Řeky byly základem nejstarších civilizací, které se formovaly kolem roku 3000 před Kristem v Mezopotámii, Egyptě, Indii a Číně. Řeky poskytovaly stabilní zdroj pitné vody, úrodnou půdu pro zemědělství a sloužily jako dopravní cesty. Dnes jsou řeky ve městech vnímány jako místa rekreace a odpočinku, ale na mnoha místech planety jsou lidé stále životně závislí na řekách. Nejvíce lidí se živí z řeky Mekong. Existuje jen 19 států, které nemají žádnou řeku na svém území, většinou se jedná o ostrovy. V některých pouštních zemích, jako je Omán, Saúdská Arábie a Libye, se nacházejí vyschlá říční koryta, která mohou způsobit smrtelné povodně. V Česku má většina řek pramen na českém území, což je rarita. Mezinárodní den řek připomíná důležitost řek jako zdroje pitné vody a jedinečného ekosystému.

Der Mekong ist wahrscheinlich der Fluss, der die meisten Menschen ernährt, nämlich 60 Millionen. Es gibt nur 19 unabhängige Staaten ohne Flüsse auf ihrem Gebiet, die meisten davon sind Inseln wie Malta, die Malediven oder Tonga. In der Wüste sind Flüsse selten, aber es gibt zumindest Wadis, trockene Flussbetten, die in Regenzeiten Wasser führen. Interessanterweise ist Ertrinken in der Wüste die häufigste Todesursache, nicht Dehydrierung. In Tschechien haben die meisten Flüsse ihren Ursprung im Land selbst, was eine Seltenheit ist. Rivers have been the foundation of the oldest civilizations. They provided a stable source of drinking water and fertile land for agriculture. They were also used for transportation and fishing. Today, rivers are seen as recreational and leisure spots in many cities, but in many parts of the world, people still depend on rivers for their livelihoods. The Mekong River, for example, provides sustenance for 60 million people. There are only 19 independent countries without a single river on their territory, most of which are islands. Eight countries, including Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Libya, have deserts and rely on intermittent riverbeds for water. Interestingly, the most common cause of death in deserts is drowning, as water can quickly flow through dried-up riverbeds during rainstorms. In the Czech Republic, most rivers are of female gender, except for the Elbe. International Rivers Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of rivers as a source of drinking water and unique ecosystems. It reminds us to preserve and protect these vital water resources.

Mekong je řekou, která přináší obživu nejvíce lidem na Zemi. Existuje jen 19 nezávislých států, které nemají jedinou řeku na svém území, většinou se jedná o ostrovy. Bez řek je 8 zemí, převážně pouštních, které mají alespoň vyschlá koryta řek. V Česku má drtivá většina řek pramen na českém území, což je rarita. Mezinárodní den řek připomíná důležitost řek jako zdroje pitné vody a ekosystému.

Gorily jsou kriticky ohroženým druhem žijícím v tropických a subtropických lesích střední Afriky. Jejich biotopy pokrývají velký rozsah nadmořských výšek. Gorily jsou ohrožovány pytláky, likvidací svého biotopu a obchodem s divokou zvěří. Virus Ebola také představuje velké nebezpečí pro přežití goril. Existují však projekty a organizace, které se snaží o zachování tohoto druhu, jako je Great Apes Survival Project a mezinárodní Smlouva o ochraně goril a jejich biotopu. Tato smlouva je prvním právním nástrojem zavazujícím k ochraně goril.

Gorilla Gorilla ist eine Gattung der größten lebenden Primaten. Sie leben auf dem Boden und sind hauptsächlich Pflanzenfresser. Sie bewohnen die Wälder Zentralafrikas. Gorillas werden nach einigen Biologen in zwei Arten und vier Unterarten unterteilt. Die DNA der Gorillas stimmt zu 98 bis 99% mit der des Menschen überein und sind nach Schimpansen die engsten Verwandten des Menschen.
Gorillas bewohnen tropische und subtropische Wälder. Obwohl ihr Vorkommen nur wenige Prozent der Fläche Afrikas umfasst, erstrecken sich ihre Lebensräume über einen großen Höhenbereich. Die östliche Gorilla lebt in den Virunga-Bergen in Höhenlagen von 2225 bis 4267 m über dem Meeresspiegel. Die westliche Gorilla lebt in dichten Wäldern und Sümpfen, auch auf Meereshöhe.
Beide Gorillaarten sind bedroht. Gorillas waren lange Zeit das Ziel von Wilderern. Darüber hinaus bedroht die Zerstörung ihres Lebensraums und der Handel mit Wildtieren die Gorillas. Im Jahr 2004 dezimierte das Ebola-Virus buchstäblich die Population von mehreren hundert Gorillas im Odzala-Nationalpark in Kongo. Dieses Abkommen, das am 1. Juni 2008 in Kraft trat, ist das erste rechtliche Instrument, das speziell dem Schutz von Gorillas verpflichtet ist.

Gorillas are the largest living primates and primarily herbivorous. They inhabit the forests of central Africa and are divided into two species and four subspecies.
